Whip Them Good
By Gary W. Aldrich

It’s very simple. Either you believe in the principles outlined in the founding documents, or you don’t. If you do, then you will also understand the tremendous risks the Founding Fathers took to bring forth a new nation. Consider that they too faced a hostile environment. The odds of taking on the British and beating them were very slim. They made the decision to revolt knowing full well that the outcome would likely be a horrible death at the end of a rope.

Our Founding Fathers knew they were risking the safety and security of their families, and that they would be spending their fortunes, or in most cases mortgage the little bit of property they were able to eke out of a hostile forest, in exchange for the mere possibility of a victory. They knew that even if they were able to dislodge the Brits, there was little money in the colonies to form and maintain a new government.

The Founding Fathers were great men of vision who cared deeply about their fellow men. Most were devoted Christians who were sensitive and courageous. In fact, any examination of our country’s past, including those harsh revolutionary days, should serve to put our present problems into proper perspective. What appears catastrophic to us today would be considered much less a crisis than we might suppose.

Is the country “going to Hell in a hand basket?” Sometimes it might appear that way. On the other hand, the Founders risked it all to give us the tools - tools we still possess to make the changes we think we should have. Not only that, they sacrificed everything to right an obvious wrong. In return for their courage and dedication we celebrate Independence Day. We commemorate with our picnics and fireworks, our flag-waving and patriotic songs.

We must not betray our Founders’ sacrifice by walking away from a good fight. They faced death, expulsion of property, and imprisonment of their families at the hands of their tyrants. Our political enemies will scream nasty epithets and stomp their feet at us. I hope we can appreciate the difference between how it was then, and how it is today. We have such a wonderful country, and we are free! It doesn’t take very much sacrifice on our part to maintain that freedom. Complaining about how Hard-left Liberals are unfair, how they cheat, lie, or steal will not change anything. We need to beat Hard Left Liberals in our courtroom, in the court of public opinion, and in the voting booth.

Let’s vow this Fourth of July to take on the Hard-Left and whip them good. All we have to fear are the insults they’ll toss our way. Let’s stop whining about it, and get busy.

"We need to beat Hard Left Liberals in our courtroom, in the court of public opinion, and in the voting booth."

That's it, right there.

" Let’s vow this Fourth of July to take on the Hard-Left and whip them good. All we have to fear are the insults they’ll toss our way. Let’s stop whining about it, and get busy."

Conservatives need to get over being afraid of being called names, such as 'racist'. They need to learn that the left couldn't care less if we're racists or not. The left well understands that such name-calling and shrill delivery of baseless condemnations of conservatives and our policies cause many conservatives to cringe in fear and shut right up, which is part of the reason they do it - the other reason being to demonize conservatives and their policies to as many voters as possible. We need to take our cue from President Reagan who either laughed and shook these epithets off like water skimming down a duck's back or ignored them as though they never happened. He gave them no credence at all, and he certainly didn't stand there and protest, "I am not a _____________!"

Absolutely, Venus. I can't believe 'pubs have grown so thin-skinned. The fact that the demonRATS call you a racist doesn't necessarily make you one. http://freeconservatives.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Not at all. In fact, it's often a case of the pot calling the kettle black. I see far more racism and 'plantation' mentality in the 'rats' platform and programs than any righty ever conceived, that's for sure.

'Pubs need to yell back and stop letting these communists talk and walk over them. Truly, it makes me want to scream, even more so now since we re-joined the 'pub party (ya' think I was bad about complaining about 'pubs before? hehehehe......I'm a lot worse now!)

One of the GOP's failings is that when a Pub is elected, he evidently has his balls removed and put in cold storage. The crew in DC is emasculated. They're wimps who just want to be liked and to hell with the reasons why their constituents voted for them.

The way the pricks turn on any Pub with the guts to say politically incorrect things is despicable. Newt was the first to get the tar-and-feather routine re his possible book deal (as opposed to the Bitch Queen's on-the-bargain-racks POS that drew not a syllable of protest from the Congresscritters). It was their backstabbing way of saying, "Thanks for getting us all elected, and f**k you very much!"

The Congresspubs have a bad habit of eating their own in order to suck up to the RATs and their media whores, apparently oblivious to the steady stream of piss that they get in return.

I'd die happy if just once the GOP could field some guys who would stare at the cameras and hiss, "Party timer is over, shitheads! WE are in charge. WE call the shots. You do it OUR way or live a nightmare. You decide. Have a nice day!"
"Sir, one question please."
"Who the hell are you?"
"Joe Blow, ABC News."
"Well, Joe Blow, go interview Peter Jerking, because you're automatically on my shit list."
"But... but... but..."
"Which part don't you understand, the 'N' or the 'O'?"

Well, one can fantasize.

Olympia Bloody Snowe comes to mind. http://freeconservatives.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon122.gif

Venus, I hear you. I'm much more critical of the GOP than of the dems. The dems are the dems and there's not much you can do about it. They're a lost case. But the GOP is my party. And it had better shape up, or the bloody dems will commandeer the House and Senate again. A merciful God will not allow them to get to the WH.
