to give youall an update. first, thanks for your prayers.
tuesday night, wednesday morning were possibly one of
the worst i've spent in a long, long time. the trouble with
tornados and that kind of weather is YOU JUST DON'T KNOW!
you don't know when or where.......even with all the local tv
stations trying to follow the supercells and warn everyone,
whenyourdarnpower is OUT! they aren't a lot of help.
still, i am very glad to report home and family are safe and
sound and THANK GOD FOR THAT cause it could have been
far worse. we suffered some landscape damage, lost two
very large oak trees (both of which were 20 feet from the
house) and THANK GOD they fell away from the house otherwise
it would have been total destruction for us. lots and lots of
branches, limbs and other debries and i've spent time trying
to clean up. trees are still there......will tackle them with the
help of friends. they are gonna cut them up and haul them
away for the value of the wood and that's fine with me.
when i see the destruction in Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas and
Alabama, i can only be thankful and refuse to feel sorry for myself.
far from it, i am praising God continually 'cause it REALLY, REALLY
coulda been us everyone is watching on tv. we watched a tornado
pass about 1/4 mile south of our house and it was in the air and
not on the ground but it had been on the ground just before and
that is where a lot of the debries in my yard came from. being blown
or spun out of that swirling deamon of destruction.....it was very
"sobering" and i thank God it did not strike us. i pray for all that
were ravaged by these storms. those who lost their lives, were injured,
lost homes and property, they are all in my prayers.
thank all of you as well.......thank you and may God bless you each
and every one..........
