Heading to State, Be Back Soon

Well y'all, my daughter and I are driving down to the State Girls Weightlifting Finals in just a few minutes, so I wanted to let everyone know I probably won't be back online until Sunday. As of now, my daughter is still not lifting, haven't heard of any of the girls not going or not able to participate, but that could change tomorrow (but I doubt it :( ). At least she earned the right to go. The school refuses to pay for her room, since she's just an alternate, and the Coach has royally put it to us because he lied (long story). We may end up having to sit in the (not-so-cheap, because my daughter SHOULD get in free) seats, and if that happens, we probably won't even go to the meet at all. Instead we will just go sight-seeing and spend the day together.

I'm sorry you have to go through all the expense and dissapointment, but she earned the right to go as you said. I hope you guys have fun together. (Treat her to something she wouldn't normally get; I'm 20 and I still love when my mom does that for me) Have fun!
