Anti-Communist
Senator Joe McCarthy of Wisconsin was one of the two or three greatest American politicians of the twentieth century.
He dominated his era and overshadowed Presidents. His patriotism makes him the Great American Hero.

We sorely need a fearless fighter who will call treason by its rightful name. I've had it with the compromisers, appeasers and surrenderists in DC who are selling America out to its enemies. Where is Joe when we really need him?

Welp, we really needed him when he occurred in history; but the fact is that we need someone like him in every age because of the omnipresence of evil in the human animal.
You identified the real problem, Doc: A dearth of public figures who call things by their right names. Lefties flourish because, in one way or another, they distort language so that things canNOT be discussed intelligently. Political correctness is all about just that -- shutting people up, confusing them, misleading them. Shutting down meetings and churches is another way of doing the same thing -- preventing folks from disagreeing, from articulating other points of view, from getting together a plan of action of their own. Destroying entire runs of newspapers has the very same motivation -- keeping the other side from ever getting heard and then calling it free speech.

We need all the leadership we can get to take down leftism within the US government.

McCarthy made communism a four letter word and bought the United States the time it needed until Reagan came along.

I'd rather have another Reagan than a McCarthy. Reagan could get people who disagreed with him to see things his way, or at least do what he wanted to do. Usually, the only way a Republican will see eye-to-eye with a Democrat is to say, "Yes," to whatever the Democrat wants.
Besides being virulently anti-communist, McCarthy was, or so I've heard (but perhaps this is just an opinion of liberal historians), a very unfriendly and disagreeable person.

We need a whole truck load of Joe McCarthys! Just one, and the lefties are like pirhanas and attack from all sides until he's devoured. That always seems to be the problem....we hit at the bastards from one front at a time. We all know they aren't smart enough to "diversify" their thought processes to be able to handle simultaneous and multiple attacks on their anti-Americanism, their ruin-America-at-any-cost bullshit.....in short their cancerous LIBERALISM. We need many Joe McCarthys to attack at the same time, from multiple directions, involving a multitude of problems created by rhe left. Sad commentary though, the crop of potential candidates of late (and I mean ALL of them) have been pussified, wussified and demasculated in some form or another that renders them impotent. They bust their chops being "Mr. Nice Guy". That geedee "political correctness" is responsible for a lot of this. People are just too damned afraid someone is going to tag them with some "ist" label and they drop to a whimpering fetal position at the thought of it. We need real MEN to go out there to kick ass and take names in every sense of the word. No more "Mister Nice Guy" bullshit. Hell the leftie's "wimmin" got bigger balls that just about any Pub conservative on the planet today.
No, we don't need A Joe McCarthy....we don't need two or three Joe McCarthys.............We need a HUNDRED Joe McCarthys!

I dont think Joe gave a tinkers damn who was friends and who were not, hell when you have a whole damn Communist Party (Democrats) trying their best to do you in one would tend to be a little unfriendly!
Joe McCarty was a real man he stood up and did his duty during WWII and he took on the Communist Establishment in congress-Hollywood-and the Commie implants in our State Department etc.
Ronald Reagan was no Joe McCarthy and Joe McCarthy was no Ronald Reaga--they were both their own self both real men of another era. Not these pussy wipped pencil neck geeks that call themselves men who hide under their desk everytime someone points a finger at them..
I consider those guys now wearing the Uniform of our military services real men--they stepped up for whatever reason-and they are doing their duty. One has to remember this is a all volunteer military and most wimps hide out in daddies garage playing HALO,when their not playing games they are at WalMart jewelry counter picking out new earrings..
Check out all these bad ass TV shows--who is kickin ass ? It sure ain't the guy--who is the dumb ass sure ain't the woman............
I said enough

What pissed me off about McCarthy is that he accused one of the greatest conservatives of our time a communist. And that conservative's name was Ronald Reagan.

(shrug) IMO, the idea that John McCain is our "big weapon" with which to fight Marxism - whether it calls itself Hillary or Osama - is grotesque, at best.
Sure, I'll take Joe anytime. At least, he had the pair it takes to fight commies.

I think McCarthy had the right intentions, but he did it in the wrong time period. Some of the Hollywood film-makers/actors were Walt Disney (who made pro-American propaganda during WW2) and Ronald Reagan. If he had done this today, it would've twice as effective. Because Hollywood turned Hollyweird.
