To believe — as the Center for Public Integrity recently charged — that President Bush and members of his administration, including Colin Powell, a natural born hero of the left, lied more than 900 times to promote and prolong the Iraq war is to concede that each and every member of Congress, along with assorted members of the Clinton administration, were complicit in that lie.
Every dog in this hunt believed the intelligence. Bush didn't get there alone. Not by a long shot.
We learned after Saddam Hussein's fall that votes by U.N. Security Council members Russia, France and Germany not to enforce U.N. Resolution 1441 were more about covering up their roles in illegally rearming Iraq than some higher purpose. Additionally, France was up to its neck in an "oil-for-food scandal" exposed only after Saddam's overthrow.

However, the Left long ago made it clear that nobody on that side cares if the country lives, dies or shits its pants.

Why is it every time you hear an organization describe itself as "non-partisan" it almost always skews well to the left?

Efforts to discredit Bush distort truth, hurt countryInasmuch as the libeRATs have been doing it since the 2000 campaigns began, why complain now? Lies, distortions, character assassination and psychotic hatred have been RAT staples for decades, but GWB brought out the worst in those treasonous sons of bitches.

The internets are out to get you.
The problem isn't old media. As clunky and stupid as it was having 3 news channels, at least we could decipher the crap from the shit.
Now, with the dubyadubyadubyadotblahblahblahdotcombackslash you get a 20 pound bucket of chum shot through a 5 pound burlap sack, oozing out the side.
Propaganda is so much more available. People, inventors of the news(not that Dan Rather wasn't or Crank Kite), agents of no one gather everywhere making crap up all day long. Information is now the problem. Along with disinoformation.
The real problem is people lack the necessary skills of honest weeding. People WANT to believe the lie, are eager to believe lies because it helps them sleep, but it also helps them keep their prefabbed world intact, their ideas that they prefer over reality.
So, you will always have a Huffingtonpost and a DailyKos and a GNN and a Stormfront and a Internetinfidels. You will always have people contributing to the lie because they like the lie, they enjoy the lie. The lie is fun. Its like scratching your healed limb after just getting your cast off. It feels sooo good.... to lie. Lying is entertainment.
And so, as all liars do, they accuse others for what they do. If they are liars, well, then Bush lied too. If they lie 899 times a day, then Bush lied 900 times about Iraq just last year, no, make that last month, no, scratch that, I mean just yesterday. And also, we killed 900,000 innocent people in Iraq in this war, no, I mean in the time it took to write this, yeah. And Bush has killed half of those with his bare hands and Cheney with the flying knee.
And Bush is Hitler. And Hitler is Satan. And therefore, if A = B and B = C, then A = C. The math of a lib. Welcome to online debate. Its fun and real stupid too at the same time!

And while the outright lie is loads of fun, the outright lie has to be repeated again and again and again before it replaces the truth. Sometimes Libs just cut to the chase and tell the meaningless lie -- the lie wrapped in a mystery.
Clinton recently told us that she voted to authorize the president to use whatever force necessary to bring Saddam to heel but insists that Bush abused and misused that authorization . . . apparently because he in fact used whatever force necessary.

Half-truths are more dangerous than lies. If someone tells a lie, e.g., "George W. Bush is a woman," I can easily dismiss the statement. If the same person says, "George W. Bush wants to be a woman," implicit in that statement is that he is a man now, which is true. Whether he wants to be a woman is something that I cannot prove, one way or the other, even if I think it is false (which I do). Repeat the statement that he wants to be a woman enough, however, and it will become "true," since the sheeple will have heard it from a variety of sources, and it's not readily disprovable.
Now you know why so many people hate (or should hate) philosophy!
