Regarding everyone's position on Voting For McCain, Voting Third Party, Sitting It Out, or Voting Democrat:

Is it possible to construct or format a thread that would contain the names of those posters who wish to participate, and allow them to register their position on a certain date, once a month, from now until November 4th?

I think that many, many are going to have many different positions before it's over, and I think it would be interesting to see how we change.

As new issues come to light, and facts are presented in many different venues, ones who are certain at this moment on how they will vote, may change their positions.

Make it a thread that is not for discussion --we've got 500 threads for that. Just a "voting" thread. Not an argument, knock-down, drag-out thread.

I think it would be interesting to see, come November 4, how we changed.our positions.

With the software it is possible to make a joinable forum where people who wish to participate would go to their profile and join a certain forum, I don't think you can do it for individual threads though.

We could set it up so there is a forum for those who plan to vote for McCain, those who plan to vote for Hillary or Obama and one for those who won't vote for anyone. But I don't know if that would accomplish what you want it to.

Well, if someone wanted to take charge of it, couldn't that person post a poll once a month and close it a month to the day after then start another one? We used to have the War Room questions once a month, and we do PoM once a month, doesn't seem like this would be much different. Same poll just posted every month with those choices:

Everyone who has an position, has it for a reason, and there is no disgrace in changing positions. We're a looooooooong way from November, and no one can predict just how the political landscape is going to change in the next eight months. Heck. We can't predict it for the next eight minutes.
