<!-- end storyhdr --> DALLAS - Hillary Rodham Clinton has been waiting to get to Texas to begin her comeback against a surging Barack Obama. She might be more careful about what she wishes for. Clinton has been banking on the state's large Hispanic population — typically about a quarter of the turnout in Democratic primaries — to give her a victory on March 4.

Well, Algore did win a plurality (not a majority, though) of the popular vote, even if he (or his supporters) had to cheat to do it. But I'm sure he believes he won a clear majority.

:unsmile: This has been discussed here before. Gore's popular victory is the official count, but had all votes been counted, it's likely he would have lost that lead. Many of the uncounted votes were absentee votes coming from military personnel serving overseas, & those were breaking heavily for Bush.
