View Full Version : I Am Pissed...

I got written up today for say "What the f***," after a kid pushed a chair in to my legs as hard as he could when I was talking to a friend. This was the last two minutes of class (which was about 3:03 PM) and school was almost over.
I am super pissed-off because he's always talking about "If you're messing with my chairs I'll write you up," but that kid didn't have anything done to him.
It also pisses me off because I got written up last week for a "dress-code violation". My teacher on Friday came out with a dress-code violation sheet (this was after I got written up.) and there was this girl with a big picture on her shirt (apparently that's forbidden.) and she didn't get written up. He looked straight at her!
What do you think I should do?

Is there an appeals process? If there isn't an official method to get this cleared up, march over to the principle's office and make enough noise for him to see to you personally... accept nothing less.

This might sound extreme but appeal it to the principle. If you don't get satisfactory resolve there, demand a hearing by the school board. Extreme? Yes! But it will set a standard. I know, it worked for me! People make a stink over less things these days ya know!

I don't know why he's after me. He knew my brother for four years and has known me for five (I started around the time my brother graduated). I'm thinking it had something to do with those opinion thought paper things. He gave us some political questions which I answered. I wasn't rude.

I agree. It can only perpetuate if people are unwilling to complain. Follow the chain. Principal, then the board, then take it to the local press if the board doesn't give you satisfaction. They eat up this kind of story.
Schools do stupid things because of fear of "complaints" or lawsuits. Time to make them afraid to be stupid as well.

I have student-teacher confrences on Thursday. If I don't get this resolved then, I will take action.

I wouldn't even wait till then. I'd be at the Principle's office TOMORROW MORNING!! Bring a parent if need be!!

What was your dress code violation? Do you attend private school?
At any rate, complain to the principal/ have your parents come in and throw a fit, that'll fix it, trust me.

That's another story that has me confused. I wore a Simpsons T-Shirt that said "I See Dumb People," and I had a button up shirt over it because I knew it was against the dress code. I went to the bathroom and forgot to button it up when I walked in. I could have just buttoned it up and everything would've been fine. But no, I had to, just had to, get written up.
I go to a Charter school.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's a charter school?

Your ignorance is pardoned (this time ).
A Charter School is a school that's founded by a bunch of people and they make their own Constitution for that school. Once that Constitution is established, they ask the state to sign it. Once the state signs it, that means that they agree with the rules. It's basically a public school with its own little government.
It's government funded, btw.
I know, I didn't difference either until I finally asked about a year ago.

I would recommend appealing to the most reasonable authority in the school, which may not be the principle. Not knowing who he or she is, that could be the worst idea possible. Don't waste any time though, whatever you do. If you find that there are no reasonable authorities to help you with your situation, realize that this could be a continuing trend in life.
You're obviously quite precocious, I've seen your avatar. This is becoming less and less a sane world my friend. Good luck.

Well, it's a charter school, I imagine that the dress codes there are to distinguish it from others.
It's fun to violate things like the dress code until you get caught like you did, I did it in Catholic school

Do slaps on the wrist with a ruler hurt? Or do they even do that anymore?
I'm really pissed after what I saw today, I'm steaming like steam coming out of my ears but then I got told I was the best behaved kid in the class lmao.

That was done away with a long time ago.

Actually, the standard dress code for secondary (7th-12th) in this Charter school is T-Shirts and Jeans. Just no pictures.
But the elementary kids have to wear nice uniforms. Poor little kids...

What do you think I should do?
It sounds like they are unfairly picking on you.
I remember a few times you mentioned you have ADD or ADHD.
I had some ADD friends back when I was in highschool who used to get singled out when they said something to someone after getting picked on.
Regardless of why they said it because of what someone else did they were the one getting punished and the other student would get nothing.
The only thing I can think of that could help is that perhaps they are baiting you because they know Teachers might have a bias against someone with ADD or that they can get you to say something that will get you into trouble. Its hard to ignore their baiting but they seem like they want you to say something back.

I've gotten an industry of teacher's back, mostly for taking advantage of me being the person who always says something...
