Guys, wouldn't it be cool to do our own talk show? Maybe around 5 EST time, or something. It would run for around an hour, we'd go over all the news and discuss it on a show, have people talk about it/call in like a real radio show... anyone up for maybe doin something like this? First I think I'm gonna need Rhino's approval.

I do like the idea but it wouldn't be much fun if Libs didn't hear it. Only an hour? We wouldn't get much talk in. I know a good many of us here are long winded and can easily go off on another tangent when talking up an issue.

That is a good idea. I have been thinking about that for like a week. I had a dream about two weeks ago that a whole bunch of us were fox news with a "Veiw" like set up- minus whoopie and 'no' joy.

Well, I think we would have a couple of options. One would be for all of us to have an audio chat kind of thing using Skype or the like, and then I could record it, streamline it, etc.

Or, we could independently record our own audio bits, and then you can email them to me, and I could splice them together. To do this, we would need to set, say a 2 min limit per audio bite, or something like that.

The upside and downside of this second option... Upside is that we would be able to work around schedules a little better. The downside is that it wouldn't be as interactive.

EDIT: However, anyone interested in cooperating in this would need an audio input on their computer.

And of course, this is assuming we would have Rhino's go ahead and all that...

I would agree with that. I think PM's would probably be enough to communicate for the time being, unless we have a lot of people interested.

Like Rhino previously alluded... We can get together and work on something, and it doesn't need his approval, as long as we clarify that it isn't endorsed by FC.

That would probably be the best thing, anyway, even if we got it on radio, in case someone says something stupid... (you don't have as much time to weigh your words on the air, like you do in a forum) Then he doesn't have to take the heat.

Heck yeah man. We need some actual normal life people doing a radio show. Not just opinions of the main stream radio people as good as they are but we need to have some regular everyday people on here.

The other thing would be that we would need to be pretty popular to start worrying about calls. People aren't going to call, without knowing who they're calling.

Well, you can broadcast podcasts for free... You can either use iTunes or other sites. If that's the case, then having our own site wouldn't be a big deal. As far as covering costs for radio with a sponsor, I would suggest putting a 'pilot' episode together to see how it runs first...

Why don't you guys start slow. Maybe just the two of you for now - work out some of the kinks, then add a couple more until it gets too big. You'll find your rhythm pretty quick.
