State Democrats say Clinton camp may sue
Legal action could disrupt or delay caucuses, party says

Fort Worth Star-Telegram

AUSTIN — The Texas Democratic Party warned Thursday that election night caucuses scheduled for Tuesday could be delayed or disrupted after aides to Hillary Rodham Clinton threatened to sue over the party's complicated delegate selection process.

In a letter sent out late Thursday to both the Clinton and Barack Obama campaigns, Texas Democratic Party lawyer Chad Dunn warned a lawsuit could ruin the Democrats' effort to re-energize voters just as they are turning out in record numbers.

How Pathetic (http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/politics/5580749.html)

I said it before and I will continue to say; disregard all this crap you hear by the pundits about the party uniting after the convention!!

Bill and Hillary both have such big egos that they might be willing to destroy (or at least set back) their party out of pique.

In doing so they may unwittingly save America.

She's going to pull a Gore. Can't win at the ballot box ... try winning in court.

It's time we made it illegal for lawyers to run for public office.

Let's just call it Hillary's Ego v. Barack Hussein Obama.

It's time we made it illegal for lawyers to run for public office.Unfortunately, a vote for FDT wouldn't count in that scenerio.

How about Alien vs Predator? Fun to watch but both would kill you in a heart beat!

This just validate's Rush's theory that we need Hilary to stay in the race right thru the convention... They will fragment the party long before the general election arrives... And wouldn't that be just deeeeelicious... In the year where the Dems were sposed to take the whole loaf, they killed and ate each other right before the public's gaze...

I firmly expect to see a Democrat Party convention where Hilary runs on the stage when Obama is speaking, with explosives strapped to her, screeching in her shrill demonic witchy voice, "If I can't have it, no one will have it!"...

Kaboom! McCain is president...

Somebody cue the Fat Lady . . .Oh nooooo, Dear... We must let this comedy of errors play itself out... We must stay to the last moment and watch the Wicked Witch of the West go down in a flaming ball of poop... And savor every delightful moment of it...

Here, share my popcorn...

Clinton seems to be trying to pull a lot of extra votes through backroom dealing ever since it became doubtful that she'd win the popular vote. Trying to get Florida and Michigan delegates sat after having signed an agreement that their votes shouldn't count for going against the DNC smacks of dubious intent. She's only really still in the race at this point because she had begun the race with an air of being the anointed candidate, I don't think many other candidates in the position she's in would have been allowed to continue a divisive campaign. If she drags it out long enough and either manages to win against the popular vote or brings it right to the line so that neither candidate can win on the popular vote then (especially if she continues making the race negative) it's going to annoy a lot of potential democrat voters.

I'd expect that if Obama (as he seems well poised to do) pulls far enough ahead of Clinton she'll be taken aside by the party grandees and asked to drop out for the good of the party. If she doesn't I'd guess we'll suddenly start seeing a lot of the super delegates pledging for Obama until she does. I think a long drawn out fight is the last thing the Dems want, though based on past performance I wouldn't be shocked if they managed to somehow screw up what seems like a strong shot at winning a presidential race.
