Deceit, thy name is woman.
Most females lie "more cleverly and successfully than men" about everything from infidelity and facelifts to barhopping and shopping binges, according to a new book.
"Women lie as a survival technique, but also to get what they want," said Susan Shapiro Barash, author of "Little White Lies, Deep Dark Secrets: The Truth About Why Women Lie," published by St. Martin's Press this week.
Barish said a Rockland County woman stripped of her secrets on Fox TV's reality show "Moment of Truth" last week proves her research true.
Lauren Cleri, 26, admitted on air she had cheated on her NYPD cop husband and preferred an ex-boyfriend. But she failed a polygraph, and lost $200,000, by answering "yes" when asked if she believed she was a good person.

I've long known that women are better liars than men, and prolly many more women than men DO lie. That's not say that all women are liars.
My personal guesstimate is that about a quarter of all women are painfully honest, so much so that they can't let themselves get away with anything less than the whole truth about anything they do -- their actions, their motives, the whole thing.
I think maybe a third of the female population is downright pathological in its lies. What they say, they then believe. These are also the women who voluntarily go into prostitution. I suspect that as much as third of all women -- this same third -- do "tricks" on the side for spending money and fun.
The rest -- 40% or so -- are what most of us think of women in general: They lie when they think they must, or to avoid confrontation, or because it's easy, etc.
The lattermost, by the way, is what I think 50% of men do. The other 50% of men are in the category of the painfully honest women. These men regularly get taken in by the 40% of women who lie as a matter of course. The other 50% of men regularly take in the 25% of women.
I think love murders occur most frequently when the lying 50% of men get together with the lying 40% of women, and someone gets caught. They then cross the line into the pathologicals.
IOW, and as the old saying goes, the best women are better than any man; and the worst women are worse than the worst men. This has been echoed in my own life.

That was an interesting read, but I must say I dont quite agree. I dont think women are really lying most of the time..... more like keeping their private lives, private.

Of course they do. So do most men.
But of course, nobody likes getting caught in a lie.

I believe it. Women naturally have (most of the time) more cleverness than men. So of course they know how to lie better.
Don't make me get started on what happened on my last date...

Does that explain this?

Not really.
Hillary's not that good a liar.
It's just that the liars in the press cover for her...or did, until Saint Barack appeared on the scene.

There are times when lying is a survival tactic.
