Atheist soldier says Army punished him (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080306/ap_on_re_us/military_religion_lawsuit)
TOPEKA, Kan. - A soldier claimed Wednesday that his promotion was blocked because he had claimed in a lawsuit that the Army was violating his right to be an atheist.
< snip , snip >
Hall alleges he was denied his constitutional right to hold a meeting to discuss atheism while he was deployed in Iraq with his military police unit. He says in the new complaint that his promotion was blocked after the commander of the 1st Infantry Division and Fort Riley sent an e-mail post-wide saying Hall had sued.

I seem to have missed that one in the UCMJ. Can any Military out there enlighten this retired Sailor about what right?

The article says while deployed. My guess is that he was making an ass of himself. That tends to happen when one hooks up with radical anti-christian Weinstein.
Also talks about how he took pictures of "offensive" things such as a book that was for sale about truth and islam as evidence for religious bigotry.
This guy was looking for a fight, and was glad when he found it.
The funny thing about having a meeting to discuss Atheism is that Atheism believes that nothing devine exists. If, for them, there is nothing to talk about religiously, what is the purpose of a meeting? To discuss what's wrong with other religions? Sounds like a hate group to me.

I call these people "religious Atheists". Atheists just don't care about what other people believe and they just personally believe that God doesn't exist. Religious Atheists live to tell everyone they're offended about everything God-related and that everything God-related must be banned. Screw our Founding Fathers' own words!

You didn't miss it Sir.
Like Eagle1 said, this guy was/is spoiling for a case. The ACLU will be making an appearance ASAP.

He is represented by the Military Religious Freedom Foundation. That was founded by Mikey Weinstein, a nutjob atheist who filed some very ridiculous lawsuits against the Air Force Academy when he attended there. They were all thrown out of court.

This guy is on a par with the nutjob who filed the lawsuits over school prayer and having In God We Trust on our currency.

They are taking advantage of their right to be hypocrites. Athesim is the organized religion for people who dispise organized religion.

Newdow-like atheists are like drunks. They just can't admit they have a problem. And so, they project their issues onto others.
They are also the jokes of the afterworld. At least demons have the balls to rebel and own their damnation publicly. Atheists will be the ones who, when dead, will still believe in their own anti-god theorems in the fog of self absorption when God and everyone else looks on at the poor sap's blind ego. Pride is incapable of seeing itself. And so, like a police suspect babbling to himself in an empty room, the rest will look on through the one-way mirror chuckling to ourselves because God has always been as apparent as the very concrete that is forming around their feet, which is what damnation is, the more you struggle the more you sink.

I think atheists get exactly what they believe. Once they die, it all ends for them.

If the ACLU comes, I will make all efforts (which I've got school mon - fri) to go and shut the ACLU up. I'll give them a peaceful riot.
