Well, if you are not aware which I'm pretty sure most people are, on the FCAT, A teacher just called in from a public school that teaches 11th grade. She said one of the questions on the test is how humans contribute to climate change.
Now, does anyone else have this anger with me? Thank GOD I don't go to public school, or I would've written stuff all over it.

I went to a public school up till a year ago. And good God, the crap they feed you. Unless something dramatic changes, I will never send any of my kids to a public school.

Same here, I couldn't imagine doing that.

In my local paper they've been running sample FCAT questions. Last week there was a supposed 6th grade math question. When I read it I was like "Huh?" Mind you, I have 2 college degrees, and I was still dumbfounded.

Unless I can't afford it, I will DEFINITELY be sending my kids to private schools. Either that, or they'll be homeschooled.

I'll probably even sacrifice living in a trailer for it.. really.

I suggest making your kids go to a Charter school that was founded by conservatives if you can't homeschool or send to private school. Yes, it has its occasional lunatics, but it's better than any other public school.
I carpool with some kids that came from a Christian Private School. Their parents couldn't afford to do either of the two options so they chose my school. They will not stop bitching!
At this charter school, they do not let students be lazy and they don't their hands when it gets tough. They complain about this because they had not been treated like that.
"They don't give us enough time to do homework!"
"Gym is too hard!"
Etc are their complaints.
My school is a big believer in freedom of speech and opinions. We actually think about what we do instead of being told what to think of it.
I was a lazy student in 7th grade. I thought I was going to slide by like I did in elementary. Boy was I wrong. I went to summer school and learned to not be lazy.
Charter schools founded by conservatives are a really good place to go if you can't afford anything.
In fact, some of it may be good for the kids if they have no clue how the real world works. This gives them a little taste.
