My dad signed me up online... by the way, I don't think I'm gonna be a marine, I'm leaning more towards Coast Guard or National Guard..

Good luck in whatever you decide to do. Joining the Army was a life changing experience for me. Some things good, some things bad. But overall, I'd say that I'm a better person because of it. But don't take someone else's opinion about it. Research it well before you decide. And if the Service isn't right for you, try to find a way to serve your country and not become part of the problem. :) I'm sure you'll do fine.

Lol ok! I'm thinking maybe of doing something in homeland security. Reason being, is that I have a huge interest in the stuff that they're doing and developing things, I could be an engineer or something with them. Now before everyone here comes and says NO DON'T PLEASE, I LOVE MY KIDS TOO MUCH! Well, its ok, I'm gonna get more educated on things I can do, see if it is right for me in the first place, get some tips from the people who know what they're doing, and basically work my way up.

You have several years before you need to make a decision about what to do in life. And you'll have beaucoup time for research.
One thing is certain: by the time you're 18, your outlook will change.

Taylor, joining the military is one of the smartest things you can do. You'll grow up quick for one. You will also get some good job training and some excellent leadership skills.
My only advice is get into something you can carry with you AFTER the military and invest in the G.I. Bill, even if you don't think you'll use it. That $429/ month I got while attending tech school helps with alot of things!
Oh yeah, GO ARMY!!!

Prob'ly.
But then, wait until January, 2009, right after Hillary's Inauguration day. There will be a knock on the door:

Okay, sorry to bump sort of old thread here but... I finally got the papers and everything in the mail, I'm waiting for the NRA Pubs but they'll be here soon. I'm so happy. When can I start the movement towards making sure 2A is still in place?
