It is sad, but I'm afraid America is terminally ill with moral rot. Making money and political intrigue are the rules of the day.
Principles are obsolete and actually get in the way of today's America. The city on the hill is now the whorehouse in the gutter.

It might be best to get back together with the British. The US of A was a good idea, but the democratic system was not sufficiently powerful to avoid takeover by organized criminal gangs. We're on our way to becoming Russia.

The sooner we realize that individual citizens have diminished powers, the sooner we can take an assessment of the actual powers that we do have ,and; create a realistic strategy to lessen the demise of our political culture.

I thought the United States was a constitution republic system of government, not a democracy.
