A Texas man was recently sentenced to 60 years in prison for a DWI. He was stopped with a blood alcohol level of .17, more than twice the legal limit. At trial, he pled not guilty.

This was his tenth DWI conviction since 1979.

On one hand, traffic court in Texas is TOUGH. On the other, this clown didn't learn, and he repeatedly endangered the public.

GOOD!Bout time the guy gets dealt with properly. I'm just curious as to why Texas let him off so many times before. And people say guns are dangerous!

Under Texas law, the third time one is charged and tried for DWI, it is automatically a felony charge. Therefore, this guy was on his seventh felony DWI trial.

:claps:Kudos to the judge!! For some reason there are those among us who don't see anything wrong with having "a few drinks" and then endangering everyone else with their driving. Personally, it's like firing a loaded gun randomly into a crowd and hoping no one gets hit!

All this leads me to wonder how long Ted Kennedy would be sent to the clink if he were living in Texas.

I see a good DUI collision about once a week. I dont have sympathy for this guy.
Now the .08 level in my opinion is low. I've seen men blow a .08 and they are fine. For me its .04 due to my job. So if I'm out its one beer and after that I dont drive.

Prosecutor John Bradley says Falco had nine prior DWI convictions and served prison terms from five to 10 years. He also had convictions for theft, family violence assault and forgery.
Apparently, he had served some prison time for some of his previous DUI convictions. As I mentioned, the third DUI court case is automatically bumped up to make it a felony. I only know that tidbit of information as I was on a jury selection panel for just that..... a third time "automatically gets turned into a felony charge" DUI. We had all that explained to us during the voir dire procedure.
I guess he was just "back on the streets", once again.
Well, no longer. This judge put him away.... unless it gets overturned on appeal.

Waaaaay past time they put this asshole away for good. He didn't care about the law, he didn't care about anybody he might have hurt, all that mattered was his own good time.
Piss on him.

Sheesh! You mean you can't drive drunk in Texas anymore? What is going on over there. When I left, drive through liquor stores were popular in Dallas.
