View Full Version : Sexism: Is it Still Alive?

I want your opinion on sexism and if you think it's still alive. Here's my view: yes.

I think it's still alive today, except that the shoe is on the other foot. Yes, women are being sexist to men (at least half are).

One of the popular things that women say is that men don't know what childbirth feels like. I thank God I don't. I can agree on that.
However, when a woman says that she wants to get an abortion because it's her body and it's her baby, I disagree.
Why can't a man help decide the future of a baby that he helped concieve?

I will type more when I get the time. Right now I have to go.
Here's my point:
The Left wants us to believe that their not racist or sexist so they put up two candidates fitting those two categories. I think it's important to discuss sexism as well as racism.

Yes, it is alive.

Yes, it goes both ways.

I actually believe that the current femenists only serve to feed it on both sides.

Of course it is, and like LDG said it goes both ways. Sexism can be found everywhere and like most "issues" liberals are usually (not always) but usually the ones stirring shit up. Iron My Shirts was proclaimed by a democrat. Remember that.

Women today are stupid and have sex with total losers. The guys have no job or a low-paying job, a history of infidelity, maybe even some kids somewhere else with some other woman....

Nice generality there...

And I would not associate myself with anyone who behaved in the manner you have described for either gender...

You have to admit, women (girls) today are much sluttier. I don't blame guys for using women sexually. No, it's not nice for men to do that but women are practically shoving it in their faces.

Not to mention, since women do bear the burden of caring for children, no matter how sexist that sounds, women need to pick better men to father their children.

Sexism continues to exist in its true form, largely due to sexist agitators who have played the gender card to advance a social experiment that firmly opposes America's Judeo-Christian roots.

“Even the woman movement we have called feminism has not succeeded by and large in giving women any control over men. It has only changed the distribution of women … removing vast numbers of women from the class supported by men to the class working for them.” Elsie Clews Parsons, Social Rule, 1916.

Share this one with Sally Field:

“With women as half the country’s elected representatives, and a woman President once in a while, the country’s machismo problems would be greatly reduced.… I’m not saying that women leaders would eliminate violence. We are not more moral than men; we are only uncorrupted by power so far.” Gloria Steinem, 1970.

I would not disagree that there is a great lacking of morals of BOTH genders. And would certainly agree that there are woman who need to do a better job of choosing. As someone who has been in the dating realm recently, it's sort of like trying to find a diamond in a pile of elephant dung. I was raised that any man worth dating/marrying was to treat a woman like a lady and be a gentleman. Sheesh it's frustrating what passes as "polite" anymore. And while I'm not "old", I'm not "young" either....in my 30's...

I'm not even sure that the majority of women realize the extent to which they pervert the male mind, body, and soul, even just by showing a little cleavage.

I agree with the majority of the posts above. There are many radical feminist czaristas that truly and unconditionally hate men. They aren't trying to advance equality, they are trying to advance feminism... they don't want equality because that wouldn't be a juicy enough objective. They want to gloat and feel the raw adrenaline rush of finally realizing their goal: to be the "ones on top" (wait a tick, I love women on top! har har har... ok, back to seriousness).

Doesn't that sound pretty machismo? Conquer and divide, gain power and reign ruthlessly?

Make no mistake, I love women. Men and women should be equal (and I think at one very short period of time, we were)... but as with everything, society should be careful not to overcorrect itself and screw things up even more, a la Affirmative Action.

Nothing against you, MrS, but you sound like a little pussy sand monkey whining about non-Muslim women not wearing the Islamic camel tent in public.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

That may or may not be so, but it remains true that women generally seem to have no clue about the power they exercise over the male of the species by virtue of sex.

Why can't a man help decide the future of a baby that he helped concieve? If she decides to keep the kid, he'd better be prepared to pony up the child support.

Sexism and racism both are now individual, not general, in scope. There is no "institutional" racism or sexism, though once there was. After we learned to see these things in our institutions, they disappeared quickly.

"Sexism," though, was much more complicated than racism. The original gripe was unequal pay for equal work. That much was true, but in those days (the Fifties) men were expected as a matter of course to provide for their divorced wives and kids. Men were considered the breadwinners and women weren't thought to work so much to support the family as for extra spending money.

Also, as is still the case today, many women leave the workforce to raise a family and then return to it in their forties, expecting to be paid the same as the men who worked all those same years. The women don't have the experience of the men, or the seniority, yet when they are paid less, they cry "sexism."

And none of this "sluttiness" shown by women is because of the welfare bum mentality they develop? Baby after baby, welfare check after welfare check, food stamps after food stamps, support money after support money. The battle cry of the bimbos is "Let's get some more men to help us line our purses with money." A typical line from a bimbette--"I'm getting my tongue pierced when I receive my child support check!"

How many of you male dumbasses are going to be driving along some country road and pick up a foxy-looking nude female hitchhiker?

Yeah we do. Read one issue of Cosmopolitan and then tell me we dont have clue. We have more than a few hints.

I agree there are more hints than you can shake a stick at. But women act as if they're helpless before men, when any woman worth her salt can have most men eating out of her hand in no time, if she's of a mind.

In the "war between the sexes," women hold the trump card and if they play it right, can get pert near anything they want from a man.

Yes, this is when men stop thinking and get into trouble. I don't know if it's the woman's fault for being sexually appealing and enticing a guy into bed or if it's ultimately the man's fault for losing his mind and self-control. It's both their fault for acting on an impulse that can have a profound outcome. Men can be really stupid; they seem to be especially attracted to damsels in distress. What's that all about?

It's too bad the government cannot perform mandatory sterilization if a woman pumps out too many fatherless children. What's "too many"? I'm sure the ACLU would be all over this!

Men need to pay their fair share of child support, however.
