Most of you know I have been in the process of starting a little side-business making "event movies" (like for birthdays, anniversaries, etc.). Well I made a movie for a 60th Wedding Anniversary and burned it to DVD. Unfortunately, all the pictures required to make the movies take up a HUGE amount of space on my computer, so after making the movie, I usually delete all the pictures from my hard drive (although I keep a hard cd copy of the pictures, just not in file order).
Well, I would like to start uploading parts of the event movies that I've done to Youtube to be able to use them on a website for my business. The only problem is, now that I've deleted the pictures off my hard-drive, the archived files will no longer show up so I can re-save the movies as MPG files (instead of DVD ... which has a .vso extension).
SO for the question -- is there a mechanism (a software, an online tool, etc.) that can convert my copies of the DVD to .mpg? I don't know what this would be called, don't even have the foggiest what I would Google to try to find something to accomplish this -- I mean, look how many words I had to use just to explain it here, :smirk:
Any assistance and/or information would be greatly appreciated.
Blessings,
Hms
