I'm listening to it, the dispatcher goes, theres an angry person living under a bridge, then the responding officer says "Isn't that what a troll is?" it was actually pretty funny.

We use the term urban campers. Keep listening, you'll learn a lot.

I just laughed really hard, I don't think Oakland Park is on the scanner, thats why I haven't heard it, but that was funny.

For the longest time, I thought Anthony Kiedis was singing something like..
"Fumtime eye fee lie kie dont have a parner.. Fumtime eye fee like ahmall alone.."
Still not completely sure what he's singing about. :roar:
Cool song though.

That reminds me too.. when I used to live up in Washington, this fellow appeared one day under the George Washington Bridge in North Seattle..

It's been almost 20 years, but I think I remember something about when it first appeared, no-one knew where it came from, who had made it. I could be mistaken, of course. :smirky:
It was actually commissioned by the local arts council.
That's a VW bug he's got in his hand there.

When my dad was a cop, he heard this on the radio:
Officer 1: What the hell? I see a goddamn hippie pissing on the side of the highway!
Officer 2: That's not a hippie, that's your mom!
Cops do have a sense of humor, at least they did when my dad was a cop for Boulder (hippies, duh).

Oh I know cops have a sense of humor! I know a few that have great senses of humor.

Taylor years ago before radios had a unit indicator, that is a number shows up on a screen at communications saying what radio is keyed, whenever someone would say something dumb everyone would key their mike for a split second.
This would result it clicking on the radio. It was a so-called duh or round of applause. Depending on the comment.
Now its more creative. For example;
A few months ago we were dispatched to a call with reference over the air being unknown medical. Our pagers however had a text message that said 24yo male with rectal pain from sex. As each unit, my ladder, rescue, and even a Battalion Cheif who decided to get in on it, came up on the air we all asked for a reference which means the female dispatcher had to say the problem over the air three times. Understand a Ladder and Cheif would never respond to a call like this. While they get toned and paged out they usually just state available not responding, rescue only.
About 30 seconds later I asked communications to do a call back and try to get us an update and further info. As she stated "understood standby" we could all hear the laughter in the backround at the communication center.

The song is about him struggling with his drug addiction.
