These kinds of people have been looking idiotic since the Vietnam War. Its been going on much to long.
I went to Captains mast one day because while I stood watch these guys (during the Reagan admin) were going up to all of the STOP signs and spray painting "the arms race" right under the STOP, I left my post to deal with them (they were within sight or hearing ) when I got up to them this guy sprayed toward my face with a spray can. I beat him down with my club.
I had to go to X.O.I first, then Capt. mast. My C/O was mad because I didn't radio the Petty Officer of the watch and I used deadly force in a situation that didn't call for it.
Forty five days restriction forty five days extra duty, 1/2 months pay for 2 months. It was worth it to. On those 45 days restriction I had to muster for a Petty Officer that was quite the surprise, I ended up dating her my entire time in the Seabees. For me it worked out well, for the protester, I might have got white paint on my face, but he got black and blue on his.
Protestors were and are the sludge on the bottom of a barrell. The worst of the worst.
