One Toronto church decided that they had enough of divisiveness this Lenten season, and decided to take a stand. No more would incendiary rhetoric be used to inflame the passions of the congregation. No more would the United Church endorse an outdated theology, at least not the West Hill Protestant United Christian Church. Their pastor struck these dreaded words from their Easter hymnal …. Utterly shameful! I am assuming that she upholds the rite of tithing so that she can continue to propagate her blasphemous hatred of all things Holy. I am sure that at some point in time the United Church, in general and her church in particular upheld the teachings of Christ and was led by disciples who could be trusted to display the reverence and respect that the Word of God deserves. To see charlatans like this woman and her sort hold the institutions of decency hostage is an abomination against all that is Holy and will surely have a terrible price to be paid in the end.
