Ok this for another site but I still totally need help.
I can stay logged in here and at several other sites except for americanidol.com. When I try it just brings me back to the main page not logged in. Now I can log in from other computers and not have any problems, but when I try to log in from my home computer I never can.
This leads me to think it isnt a site problem but that something is wrong on my end.
Any ideas as to what could be going on?

Possibly you have "cookies" blocked for the site on the computer. That's what they use to maintain logged-in status.

I know what cookies are but what exactly do you mean? Talk to me like I am 3.

You leave that computer alone young lady, you might break it.
Do you have your remember me box checked?

At the american idol site there is no such box. You log in, and you log out. No remember me box is there.

It's hard to say without knowing how their script works.

If this (http://idolforums.com/index.php) is the board in question, it uses Invision Power Board software. I'm unfamiliar with that one.
If it does it with more than one browser, that eliminates the browser cookie settings.
If you can borrow a laptop, try logging in from your home Net connection. That will determine whether the problem is in the computer or your Web connection.

It's called deforestation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deforestation), and it's become a major concern in present day third world nations.
One of the primary reasons we have the increasing problem of Global Climate Change is that the 'carbon sink' we used to enjoy via the world's rainforests is shrinking at an alarming rate.
With the added threats from unchecked industrial expansion, rapidly increasing consumption of fossil fuels in the third world, and overpopulation, it's clear we are headed for a major disaster unless something is done. And soon.
Protecting the few remaining trees Should become a priority for the next administration. We can only hope that she, or he will realize this and take the appropriate regulatory steps to achieve it.
