Did the US Really Need to Bomb Iraq?
U.S., British Forces Bomb Antiaircraft Sites in Iraq

Welcome valdirsoares.... you ask a valid point, but I'm still stuck at, "we bomb them every week". This one is worthy of PR, and the discussion I imagine should be aimed at why.

I wouldn't say that Bush is wagging the dog from the Economy for one reason.
A war gives the economy a spike. It happened during WW2.
So.. if you are a deranged conservative.. Bush starting a war with Iraq will give us more oil (and make some Bush friends money) and spike our economy (until the inevitable happens).

What the hell are we doing flying people over Iraq? They are a damn independent country. I bet that if North Korea was flying planes over Nebraska, we'd shoot at them also.
They can say that our pilots were being shot at but just because they say it doesn't make it true. Much like Saddam's injury counts, exaggerations are galore. (although the injury count of the last strike wasn't really inflated)

Sorry. It has to be said. If they fire at us we should wipe them all out. They allow him to lead them therefore they are no better than him. We allowed Klinton to lead and had to suffer the consequences. I will never be kind to country that attacks our service men and women.

Falken, Saddam AGREED to be "flown over". This was in lieu of annihilation. He's shot off 14 surface-to-air missiles and fired anti-aircraft artillery on 51 occasions since Jan. 1. This is a no no. Would you have our men shot down? They have taken possession of Sam-5 missiles, which are far more accurate, and it was determined that if not stopped, we WOULD lose a plane SOON. Which part of the above confuses you?
Before you shoot off your mouth, please reread the first two sentences.

FALKEN BRINGS UP A VERY INTERESTING POINT. IRAQ IS AN INDEPENDENT COUNTRY. IT MAKES ONE WONDER IF THE UNITED STATES CAN DO THAT TO AN "INDEPENDENT" COUNTRY, WHAT COULD IT DO TO AN "INDEPENDENT" PEOPLE, SUCH AS WE?
