In one five-minute span of their debate Wednesday night direct from Confusion Central in Philadelphia, we heard more defeatism than we have in decades.
Surrender now. Failure at any cost. Victory is not an option. In short, give up. Give up carefully, responsibly, gradually, but definitely give up. This is what the Democratic Party has come to? Where is the spirit of Franklin D. Roosevelt, the commander-in-chief who demanded nothing less than unconditional surrender? Where’s a Harry S. Truman when you need him? Or a John F. Kennedy? ...
But the Democrats have become the party of defeat.
