Is Planned Parenthood Above The Law? (http://www.townhall.com/Columnists/MaggieGallagher/2008/04/22/is_planned_parenthood_above_the_law?page=full&comments=true)

Planned Parenthood likes to think of itself as above all reproach -- a champion of women's rights and also (as its annual report claims) the nation's "social justice movement."

< snip , snip >

The Planned Parenthood Action Fund is promising to spend $10 million this election cycle. "These donations come even as Planned Parenthood is defending itself against a range of civil and criminal complaints in several states, and critics charge that the organization is trying to buy influence in Congress," notes ABC News.

It's a smart investment for an affluent organization (a budget surplus of $114 million and assets of more than $1 billion) that gets more than one-third of its income, or almost $337 million in 2006, from the taxpayers.

The current racism charge can't help but revive memories of a similar sting operation that revealed many Planned Parenthood clinic employees were willing to tell a caller posing as a 13-year-old girl with a 22-year-old boyfriend how she could avoid triggering mandatory child sex abuse reporting requirements at the clinic.

The YouTube expose is revealing and fearsome. Racism is alive and well at PPFA.

Interesting quote from this video (http://www.youtube.com./watch?v=18IKmx6wsYk):

"We spoke to a former abortionist (Carol Everett, the Heidi Group) to shed some light on the industry."
"Our goal in our abortion clinics was three to five abortions from every girl between the ages of 13 and 18, and we did that because if she started using abortion as a method of birth control, she would continue to use it through her life."

Safe, legal and RARE? Abortions to save the life of the mother? F**k that crap! it's retroactive birth control for sluts.

Posted in response at the Townhall.com site linked above:

From PPFA's 2006-2007 Annual Report
2006 - 264,943 abortions, 2,413 adoption referrals -- ratio 109.8/1
2007 - 289,750 abortions, 2,410 adoption referrals -- ratio 120.2/1

You would think that the abortion/adoption ratio would stay the same if they truly counseled as opposed to encouraging abortions

50,000,000+ since Roe v. Wade"You would think that the abortion/adoption ratio would stay the same": I think the poster means the ratio would be 1/1.

If you dont want to get pregnant, dont have sex.

You see, everyone is so worried about the upcoming generation not having any morals or standings. Well, here is the deal. We are allowing young girls to be irresponsibly promiscuous with no repremand. All they have to do is, "Oops, guess im pregnant again. Gotta go back to PP for another abortion." I think PP could be a good organization if more of it was funded by private donations rather than tax dollars. Also, do be able to get an abortion (if you are under 18) you should have to have the parents sign off on it. No more of this "13 year old girl not wanting her parents to find out" crap. If you are out getting pregnant your parents should know! And once you get your baby sucked out of your stomach you should be placed under strict watching and be implanted with a homing chip.
-.-

Enough is enough. We are going to have a generation of kids growing up with zero sense of responsibility and morals and 90% of everyone on welfare. I will not stand for this. My kids will not do that, and I will never myself.

The only thing Planned Parenthood should do is give out means of birth control (and the girls should need to work for them too, Ex be require to do X amount of community service a month and if she doesnt, then she doesnt get her pills. No abortions whatsoever.

We already had that back in the 60's. That group is now running/ruining the country as we speak. And they have brainwashed more than just liberals.

"We" are "allowing"? It isn't my job to raise your kids. It's MY job to raise MY kids and yours to raise your kids. Neither of us has any business "allowing" or "disallowing" each other's young daughters to be promiscuous.

No sir, Im not saying that. What I am saying is that these days its more "socially acceptable". Not with me but with most of the younger generation. I dont believe that anyone has the right to tell you how to raise your kids but when teenagers are going to the hospital getting free healthcare for their pregnancy and such THEN the government should be able to step in and say "Look, something needs to be done here." Its not just 1 or 2 or even 1000 a year, Its 50000 or more. I understand people make mistakes, I just done want to pay for those mistakes. (I pay for the ones I make enough...)
