Man To Be Buried in PBR Casket (http://jammiewearingfool.blogspot.com/2008/05/man-to-be-buried-in-pbr-casket.html)

So you think Canadians love their beer? Well, they haven't got anything on a Chicago man named Bill Bramanti. He's so in love with the suds that he's dying to prove it. And when the grim reaper finally does catch up to the still young 67-year-old, he'll toast his presence with a bizarre final nightcap.

Makes me think of the old Tom T. Hall song:

Good for him. Pabst is the best American-made brew, according to my tastebuds.

Illinois Man Orders Custom Beer-Can Coffin

SOUTH CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. — Bill Bramanti will love Pabst Blue Ribbon eternally, and he's got the custom-made beer-can casket to prove it. "I actually fit, because I got in here," said Bramanti of South Chicago Heights.

The 67-year-old Glenwood village administrator doesn't plan on needing it anytime soon, though....http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,354137,00.html

Custom orders like this aren't quite as unusual as one might think...

A woman came home and found a note left by her husband: "Your guy in the colleges called. Your Pabst Beer is fine."

Reminds me of an old British expression - tapping the admiral.

Presumably, the remains of the Admiral Nelson were put in a cask of rum to preserve them on the voyage back to Britain following his death at the Battle of Trafalgar. Thirsty sailors bored a hole in the cask, draining the liquid contents with a straw. Unsurprisingly, the was found to be nearly empty when it arrived in London.

Urban legend (http://www.snopes.com/horrors/cannibal/tapping.asp), but funny nonetheless.
