A 23-year-old man who shot himself in the chest with a nail gun during a traffic stop...was in satisfactory condition Friday night...

...the spike from the concrete nail gun had a washer on the end. The washer prevented the spike from penetrating deeply enough to hit any vital organs.

...the man...struck another vehicle...and drove away without stopping. Troopers followed the man...and pulled him over... A deer did that once while a plane was landing when I worked at the airport. He became a fine mist sprayed with a few chunks out the other side of the engine and down the side of the plane.

This guy had a problem he just couldn't nail down.

How painful, you would think he would have thought about this more.
