Nanny Rips Baby Girl From Jaws of Coyote in California Sandbox
Saturday, May 03, 2008
CHINO HILLS, Calif. — A nanny pulled a 2-year-old girl from the jaws of a coyote when the animal attacked the toddler and tried to carry her away in its mouth, officials said.
The girl was playing Friday in a sandbox at Alterra Park in Chino Hills in San Bernardino County. Around 10:30 a.m., the caretaker heard screaming and saw a coyote trying to carry the child off in its mouth, officials said.
The babysitter grabbed the child and pulled her from the coyote's grasp...http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,354054,00.html
I bet she gets a raise.

Glad they are both OK. Good Nanny!
Too bad the child's PARENTS weren't there though....

Wouldn't surprise me if they sue her instead, for taking the child to the same area where another child had been attacked by a coyote.
From the article cited:
"Miller said there was another attack in the area in October when a coyote bit a 3-year-old girl ..."
Guess I'm just getting too cynical in my old(er) age, :smirk:

Hard to say how large the "area" is they are referring to. This child was playing in a park, while the first child appears to have been near her home. And being six months ago, a normal person would assume that it was an isolated incident.

I's jes' bein' snarky, LDG. Lately, I've been rather discouraged by the state of humanity, seems like people these days gravitate to the negative, instead of accentuating the positive. Very often Rush Limbaugh will make a comment about something it would seem too absurd to come true, and then it does! So in that respect, it wouldn't surprise me if they did sue ... would just seem par for the course lately.

I was wondering what Fouquet was doing since he was banned.

I'm wondering how it was the nanny didn't see the coyote in time to prevent his even coming near the kid. She wasn't paying much attention, is my guess.

Somebody call PETA. How dare they interfere with the coyote trying to live his life.
