Report: Woman facing charges for letting people stay at hotel for free
BLOOMINGTON -- The road to jail can be paved with good intentions. A woman who was a hotel employee said she felt sorry for the homeless so she made pass keys so they’d have a place to stay...
The incident was discovered by another employee.... He found people in a hot tub and discovered five rooms not rented were occupied by about 20 people....http://www.pantagraph.com/articles/2008/05/02/news/doc481bbe46aa110783107273.txt

I will have to see if it's in print somewhere, but I saw an interview w/the management last night and they said that the people were NOT homeless...that they were the woman's friends that she was allowing to party there.

Have to hand it to her though, fast thinking to come up w/the homeless story though. I mean it tugs at the heart strings to say you were trying to help the homeless. Not quite as much sympathy when you were just letting your bum friends party for free!

Bloomington is full of fuzzy-hearted liberals...Illinois State University is there. They love these sort of "feel good" stories and hold these people up as being persecuted for trying to make a difference. And, as is normally the case around here, when the truth comes our...rarely are the people as saintly as the libs would like them to be.
