As if the divisions between race and gender in the Democratic Party hadn’t been further exposed through Tuesday night’s exit polls — and by a very heated exchange (http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/05/06/live-blogging-the-indiana-north-carolina-primaries/?scp=1&sq=brazile&st=cse) on CNN between Donna Brazile and Paul Begala — Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s interview (http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/2008-05-07-clintoninterview_N.htm) with USA Today on Wednesday is further mining those tense depths. “I have a much broader base to build a winning coalition on,” she said in the interview, citing an article by The Associated Press.

It “found how Senator Obama’s support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and how whites in both states who had not completed college were supporting me.”

“There’s a pattern emerging here,” she said.

Apparently racism is alive and well in the Democrat party... Imagine that... And I thought Pubs had exclusive claim to that tag...

“There’s a pattern emerging here,” she said. We hear ya, Hillary. "The jay bees like monkey face. The hard working people -- the white people -- like me."

We hear ya, Hillary. "The jay bees like monkey face. The hard working people -- the white people -- like me."

There's a pattern, all right. She and her slimebag husband will play the race card if no one else will.

The good news for Hillary in all of this is that she has picked up endorsements from a couple of Grand Dragons.

(Just kidding) :D

Portraying herself as a maverick, unafraid to end a sentence with a preposition; “I have a much broader base to build a winning coalition on,” she said in the interview, citing an article by The Associated Press.

Well, she has a good point here...blacks vote 'rat about 90% anyway, so either hill or bo will get their vote, so her point really is, can bo deliver enough white votes to win in Nov?

Actually I hope she can finagle a way to get the nomination....that might make enough black voters realize they've been swindled by the 'rats all along!

No matter what people may say about the race factor, she's right. It's been proven over and over again. Democrats are going to make race more and more of an issue hoping to tap into that "vote O or you're a racist" mind. It won't work.

No matter how racist anyone is, they don't believe it about themselves. Yes, racisim exists, but someone else has it, not me. Having made this mental deflection, they feel entitled to behave in quite a few racist ways. Voting against an obamanation just because he's black is the most mild. Especially when it can be justified in so many ways.
