Not Quite Yet

Elite opinion on the Democratic race has congealed around the idea that it is over. Clinton has no chance whatsoever to win the nomination now. There is a minority of analysts (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/05/07/politics/main4076794.shtml) out (http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2008/05/07/2008-05-07_ugly_truth_why_hillary_clinton_wont_quit.html) there (http://commentisfree.guardian.co.uk/michael_tomasky/2008/05/the_end_of_the_line_1.html) - maybe 5%, maybe even less - who see her path to the nomination as much narrower than it was four days ago, but who still see a path.

I'm with the minority on this one. I think she is nearly finished, but not quite yet.

As those who know me in personal life can attest, I am a contrarian. For better or worse, when I see everybody looking right, the first thought in my head is, "What's over there on the left?" So, the following might just be a product of my contrarian instincts, but I have to say that I just can't get to where most everybody is on this race.

Two things are holding me back: West Virginia and Kentucky.

I think Hillary will win here and her win will be substantial if the signs/stickers/event attendance are any indicator. And many people here are voting based on who they think McCain can beat more easily because they are only registered as a democrat to be able to vote at all since the Republican ballot is for the most part empty. I rarely have an option on my ballot for some seats here, but I can't bring myself to register as a democrat.

There's nothing you can do to stop that kind of political scientology. This is Anthony Robbins territory, The Giant Within bullshit, and its hugely popular.

The Rev. Wright, the butt licka, didn't stop Obama. Rezko didn't stop Obama. His wife's perpetual scowl didn't stop Obama. Obama's most liberal record in the senate didn't stop Obama. Obama's 98 lb. torso, that of a dripping nose Olson Twin doesn't stop people from thinking he's 'sexy' ... for some strange reason. Okay, maybe its his teeth. He has nice teeth and its his only asset. He hands you a resume and the only thing on it underneath his name and accomplishments is TEETH. So, I'll give him that.

The only thing that will stop Obama worship is another skeleton, maybe a video of beastiality, letting a lapdog lick peanut butter off his balls, or snorting coke off Pee Wee Herman's inner thigh or losing one of his front TEETH cause then he'll look wierd and maybe that's what it will take.

Yes, it will be losing a tooth. That's what will ruin Obama's chance at becoming POTUS; a missing chicklet. That's how deep the Left is. On the issues and shit. A tooth.

Right now Obama's got all his teeth, but maybe in the next couple weeks he might lose one and if that happens then there's no telling who will become the nominee. Because CHANGE can only happen if there's a row of even TEETH behind it. And if there isn't, then the Left just can't support it.

The democrats are scared s**tless over the possibility of HiLIARy winning WV and KY. They can crow over black wins in states like NC, but they really don't want to see wins in majority white states.

It's pretty transparent. The democrats are trying to avoid a major fight that might result in a major riot.

There are some indisputable facts that cannot be ignored in this argument...

1) This could be info that is not very well known but, Hilary actually has more Superdelegates in her camp than Obama (Sourse: Mr Limbaugh - Today's show)... And Superdelegates can completely supercede the will of all those voters who participated in the primaries... And..

2) These are the Clintons... They simply do not quit... They have a degree of arrogance that is unfathomable by normal human beings... When the situation seems hopeless, that's when they just bring out their hitmen and heavy artillary... Bill believes they can win this - Bill believes there is nothing that can be denied them... And Bill is the power behind this campaign...

The Clintons are not quitting... There will be a bloody knife-fight on the convention floor... Stock up on popcorn...

And Bill is the power behind this campaign... Regarding No. 1, I think the superdelegate breakdown is so close to 50-50 it doesn't offset the regular-delegate count by very much.

Regarding No. 2, I completely agree. The Clintons know how to cheat. They've been doing it all their political lives. The only way they can fail (and this is a distinct possibility, though I wouldn't count on it) is that they don't know how to cheat at this level. Don't be surprised if a skeleton is found in Obama's closet, such as a sex scandal or evidence of bribery, embezzlement, or other criminal activity. Barring that, something may be created out of thin air yet believed by tens of millions of :sheeple: .
