View Full Version : Barack Obama wants to be president of these 57 United States

From the Los Angeles Times, while campaigning in Portland, the Harvard graduate said he'd visited all 57 U.S. states in the last fifteen months, and that he had one to go (?), but his staff refused to let him go to AK and HI (?), but he wanted to be president of all 58:
In his prepared remarks Obama was ready to start blasting Arizona Sen. John McCain, (http://topics.latimes.com/politics/people/john-mccain) the presumptive Republican nominee, to show the Illinois Democrat is moving on to the general election campaign.
But first the freshman senator had to go through all the obligatory delighted to see you, delighted to be here part of stump speeches that also require that you actually know where you are.
Obama pulled that off O.K. But then he drifted away from the text a tad, as rookies are wont to do sometimes, forgetting how exhausting this primary process is and should be. And trusting in their instincts, their very tired instincts.
"It is wonderful to be back in Oregon," Obama said. "Over the last 15 months, we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit, but my staff would not justify it."

He should never go off script.

I thought this was going to be from The Onion (http://www.theonion.com/content/index). Instead, it's from the L.A. Times, a much more credible (cough, cough) source.
Perhaps this explains Obama's confusion:
There are 50 US states, and six US territories.
Puerto Rico
U.S. Virgin Islands
American Samoa
Guam
Northern Mariana Islands
Minor Outlying Islands (Wake Island and Johnston Island)
And one US-administered region, Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Obama may have misspoke about 57 states, but in all US territories and administered regions, the head of state is the President of the United States.
(One of the responses at the bottom of the page linked above.)
If McCain had said something like this, Democrats would be all over it like purple on Donny Osmond's socks. (Hey, I'm sick of the white polar bear simile. :D )

Here's a picture of the obamanation's flag pin.

Now we know what's wrong with the obamanation's economic plan. He can't count. He's visited 57 states with one to go, either Alaksa or Hawaii.

Now if a REPUBLICAN had made such a gaffe, would s/he be let off the hook so easily? Who can forget the dreaded potato incident!
This reminds me of all the faux pas Rush Limbaugh used to highlight on his television show ... any one remember Gore going into the building with the busts of some of the Presidents and asking who those guys were? Or when he went for a bicycle ride, and got lost in the woods requiring the Secret Service to get him out? My stars, the dimmies make flub-bubs ALL the time, and barely a word in the mainslime media, but let a pubbie or EVEN BETTER a Conservative have a slip of the tongue, or mispoken word, and blamo, front page headlines, first up on the Jon Stewart Show, SNL, and all the evening late night talk show monologues.
For a PRESIDENTIAL candidate to make such a HUGE error, should be evidence enough that this dude is NOT ready for a prime time Presidency!
Wonder if SNL, Jon Stewart, or any of the late niters will say anything about this, hmmmmm. I won't hold my breath.

Don't, Sis. Your pretty face will turn an unhealthy color. ;)
And yes, if it had been McCain, we'd be hearing all sorts of comments about how he's too old to be president, how he shouldn't run, etc., etc., etc.
Fortunately, for HUSSEIN, he's a demunist. So people will just say "Poor thing. He was tired."
And so it goes.

At least John Kerry, who served in Vietnam (and heard President Nixon giving a speech on the radio discussing war strategy, apparently while he was still President-elect in 1968), wasn't allowed to skate with his idiotic "I voted for the $87 billion before I voted against it" remark.

Maybe the butthead is counting the Aztlan states twice, once for the US and once for Meheeco.

I'd say he's overreaching in his ambition, but you already know that. Seems to me that a year or two after his election, they'll be selling flag pins with 37 stars instead of 50, let alone 57.

They will sell flag pins with stars amount up to the number of states he won. Say if he wins all of them and hillary clinton wins none, you get it.

I know that 99.9% of the times politicians are just snake oil peddlers. I know that you can't trust even the best of them. I know that they become even worse during presidential campaigns. I know all of that.
But I still think Obama is one of the most obvious frauds we've seen so far. I truly think that he beats Hillary at that.
What really worries me is how some people - liberals, mostly, of course - seem to be completely impervious to HUSSEIN's no-longer-dissembled racism, Marxism, pro-terrorism, hatred for America, etc.
These fools, who still believe in HUSSEIN's misleading promises for "change", give new meaning to the old adagio "Those whom the gods want to defeat, frist they make blind."
This country is in for some ... ah ... interesting times.

I remember it was seared in John Kerry's brain that he was in Cambodia for Christmas 1968 because of Richard Nixon.
Nixon, of course, became president 20 Jan 69.

:moo: If we're lucky, the states we lose will be "blue", so we can kick his sorry butt out in 2012.

DC had better get statehood fast - he'll lose to Juan even in California if he's the nominee this fall.

In the Muslim world (Ummah) there are 57 States:

57 states huh? And they still ridicule Dan Quayle over the gaff at the Seplling Bee, when he simply read the answer off a card provided to him by the school administration...
Never expect Leftists to be honest or rational or objective... Always expect them to be bitter and hateful and liars and twisters of the facts in order to further their agendas...
Its an old doctrine that the Communists estasblished as a conerstone of their religion from the beginning... "There is no sin as long as the act promotes the Communist Revolution.."

Pointed out by Rush: was B. HUSSEIN Obama really talking about the US?
Every year from 1999 to 2005 the Organization of the Islamic Conference, representing the 57 Islamic states, presented a resolution to the UN Commission on Human Rights, called “Combating Defamation of Religions”.How the Islamic states dominate the UN Human Rights Council (http://www.iheu.org/node/2546)
A flub, or something more devious?

JG: Do you think that Israel is a drag on America’s reputation overseas?
BO: No, no, no. But what I think is that this constant wound, that this constant sore, does infect all of our foreign policy.

Well, it is strange that Barack Hussein Obama was born in the 50th state but said that anyway, and that he knew this:
February 27, 2008
Barack Obama and the Muslim call to prayer
On this day in 2007, Barack Hussein Obama said the Muslim call to prayer is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth.” In an interview with The New York Times, Senator Obama recited, “with a first-class [Arabic] accent,” the opening lines of this prayer:
“Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that Muhammad is his prophet... “
He probably learned that in the madrassa as well.:smirky: Good news is he's hiring for the general election:

Subject: Resumes and Recommendations
While Barack continues to campaign hard in the upcoming primary states, we have begun collecting resumes for communications staff for the general election. Pls send resumes of friends and colleagues who you would recommend to become part of our organization either in Chicago or in a state to Lauren Thorbjornsen (lthorbjornsen@barackobama.com).
Thanks, Dan Pfeiffer

CHICAGO
AND...our Republican party...the party of Judy Barr Topinka...a RINO...who nominated Allen Keyes to run agains Barak because she wanted to run for governor and didn't want anyone in that position who could run against her. There were A LOT of Republicans in the state who didn't even vote in the election because they couldn't vote for Barak and they sure as hell weren't going to vote for Keyes....
We got screwed and we all know it....
