Barack Obama is close to victory

The Illinois senator last week switched his attention to the general election battle against John McCain after locking down more than enough pledges to reach the victory target of 2,025 delegates.

A senior Democrat strategist, familiar with discussions at the highest levels of the Obama camp, has revealed that Mr Obama is now confident of the support of around 120 of the remaining 260 undeclared superdelegates.

His aides believe he will only need between 70 and 80 to be sure of the nomination if he wins the Oregon, Montana and South Dakota primaries as expected ater this month.

Bye, Hillary. Don't be shocked if the door kicks you hard in the ass on your way out.

Actually this is an object lesson in the futility of relying on media sources these days... All of them seem to be attached to some agenda or another...

Example: THIS media source is reporting that Obama has the Superdelegates wrapped up to win the nomination... And yet, Just last week Rush Limbaugh reported the Hilary had more superdelegates than Obama, thus neutralizing all of Obama's accumulated primary delegates...

Since the Superdelegates trump all the other delegates gathered from the state primaries, the primary delegates are insignificant now - and someone is wrong - in this lunatic election only God knows the real truth... But the real truth we can glean for those two conflicting stories is that this nomination is even more likely than ever to end in a knife-fight in the Convention...
