Five things to watch in W. Va. (http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20080513/pl_politico/10300;_ylt=AjlkznO7agonkQWbxRvHPl6s0NUE)

Politico - Tue May 13, 5:57 AM ET LOGAN, W. Va. - Even if Hillary Clinton beats Barack Obama in Tuesday's West Virginia primary by the huge margins predicted by polls, the victory won't go very far towards chipping away at Obama's lead in pledged delegates in their race for the Democratic presidential nomination.

So this is what it's like to be a relevant state during an election. We haven't had this much attention in the national media unless something horrible happens. Well something more horrible than this anyway.

An Obama spokesman noted, "We'll be watching for a large percentage of voters wearing shoes and have most of their teeth, in which case we should do better than polls currently indicate. However, we'll also be watching the parking lots. If a large percentage of pickup trucks with gun racks are parked outside polling stations, we're toast. Also, if Sen. Robert Byrd dons his sheets in a large Klan rally, we're outta here!"

There was only 1 office I could vote for that actually had someone running against them. The others were either "choose up to 10" and I only had 4 or 5 to pick from. The others said ... No Candidate Filed.

I pretty much just voted on the levy since anything else I picked won't matter with only one option or no option.

I have "not voted" for Rockefeller and Byrd or the liberal lites on the GOP side that run here. Thing have only gotten worse. We are dead last in everything. Forbes used to have us above Louisiana and Mississippi but now even they are ahead of us, and that's AFTER Katrina. I am starting to think some of the lesser of evils I didn't vote for years ago would at least be better than where we are now. I just hope the whole country doesn't turn into West Virginia.
