OBAMA AIMS FOR NOV.
HILL HINTS SHE'S SET TO PULL THE PLUG

By CHARLES HURT, DC Bureau Chief

May 13, 2008 --
CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Barack Obama (http://www.nypost.com/news/p/obama_barack/obama_barack.htm) yesterday turned his sights on winning the White House in November, as Hillary Rodham Clinton (http://www.nypost.com/news/p/clinton_hillary/clinton_hillary.htm) hinted she might wrap up her campaign as early as next week.<br>
"Thank you for caring so much about our country," Clinton said in a video sent yesterday to supporters. "And now it's on to West Virginia and Kentucky and Oregon, and we'll stay in touch."<br>
Not mentioned in her apparent video swan song are the final three primaries, in Puerto Rico, Montana and South Dakota, to be held after next week - leading to speculation that she might pull the plug on her campaign after what are expected to be strong wins in West Virginia and Kentucky.More (http://www.nypost.com/seven/05132008/news/nationalnews/obama_aims_for_nov_110650.htm)

That is nothing but media speculation as this one media source is desperately eager to get the jump on the others on the "Hilary Quits" story...

Its not going to happen - The remaining primaries are Hilary's for the taking - Obama has no chance at them so they all just add to HER totals... All the analysts agree on this... There is no justifiable reason for her to pull out of the race - The Clintons believe they can win this in the convention...

Pledged delegates only count in the first round of voting - after that they are not obliged to stick to their original pledges... This is old fashioned party politics in the classic sense... I just don't see Bill throwing in the towel with the numbers this close... And she'll do what Bill says...

Plus, would the Clintonistas "leak" false information to the media?

Nah...........

Anyone who knows the Clintons and their tactics (and many here do) knws that they have been strangely gentle with Obama so far... They have big guns they have not yet pulled out, I'm guessing... We may start seeing those if Howard Deam pushes the superdelegates to choose early...

Lest we forget what the Clintons are capable of when people stand in the way of what they want...

Democrats were desperate for HiLIARy to pull out before predominantly white states got to vote. The only way the democrats can convince themselves that the obamanation has a chance, is to convince the entire nation that a man can be elected with ONLY the black vote.

Data from Rasmussen Markets (http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/latest_results_from_rasmussen_markets) give Obama a 90.9 (http://rasmussen.intrade.com/aav2/trading/contractInfo.jsp?conDetailID=68180)<SCRIPT type=text/javascript>contract_type = "rasmussen";contract_id = 68180;node_id = 7608 + "_" + 7125;new Ajax("/extension/ajax/intrade_lastprice.php", {data: 'contractID=' + contract_id + '&contract_type=' + contract_type,method: 'get',update: $('intrade_' + node_id)}).request();</SCRIPT> % chance of winning the nomination.

29% of voters want Hillary to run as an independent - I'd bet that number would be 100% of core Republicans if they'd ask them.
