Look on the bright side: It only took six years to get from the Watergate wipeout to Reagan. What could go wrong?

Ask William Chapman Revercomb.

Who?

The last Republican we had in the Senate. The GOP turned on him and we have had Robert Byrd and eventually Jay Rockerfeller ever since.

I stumbled across this. I don't listen to Levin and I cringe when people refer to him as The Great One.

Levin is truly The Great One. No other host tells it and spells it out like he does. Not Rush, not Sean ("Buy my book") Hannity. He is also one of this country's foremost Constitutional experts and it shows every time he debates anyone (mainly clueless libs) on it.

As for his advice that GOP leaders should actually, you know, act like GOP leaders, I could not agree more. However, the chances of that happening are akin to Michael Moore being the next spokesman for Jenny Craig.

What we really could use is what I dub "Operation Topple" (named after the famous image of Saddam's status being toppled over in Baghdad) and have Rush, Levin etc truly join forces and chase McCain out of the nomination. Impossible, you say? If someone told you even 6 months ago that BO would be the likely nominee and The Bride of Satan would be swimming upstream like a salmon, most people would have thought you were nuts. (Though, not to toot my horn I predicted in 2003 that The Bride would not get the nomination, or she did there would be hell to pay. Of course, no had heard of BO at that time either. I mainly based that on her extremely high negatives).

Anyway, Operation Chaos has been a resounding success, so what we would have to lose with doing the same to McCain?

We don't get Levin down here in the RGV, but we do get Beck, Rush, O'Reilly and Lars Larson. I enjoyed Levin when he filled in for Hannity, when we had Hannity on the radio...

He's on XM radio. My husband has that in his car.

Suzie, tell him to check out Quinn and Rose in the AM from 6 - 10 AM, on XM 158. He will absolutely fall in love with that show, it is THE BEST morning show on the radio.. PERIOD..!!

I was being sarcastic about your "cringing" when people call Mark The Great One (as he is).

Levin, like Coulter, has no mercy with liberals and constantly slaps them upside the head, as they so richly deserve. And that makes High Priests of Civil Discourse (that's you, dear) cringe.

Nothing personal, ES. Just pulling your leg. ;)

I'd much rather listen to Levin than Hannity, especially lately. I don't know what the heck is wrong with Sean these days, but he easily lets the liberals get the upper hand and that is a no no in my book.

Absolutely. The Country Club "Republicans" have been ignoring us for years. And the country will pay dearly for it. :sulk:
