How much does the "permit" cost?

(My guess is a multiple-use "permit" might run about $50.)

Does the permit include water sports? Will it pay the cost of a rescue team if you can't get out? Does the permit let you stay all night, or is it day-use only? What about lighting fires? Is anything edible in the canyon, or should you bring in your own provisions?
