Machine to clean up greenhouse gas is breakthrough in war on global warming, say scientists (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1023315/Machine-clean-greenhouse-gas-breakthrough-war-global-warming-say-scientists.html)

The idea is bound to be controversial, with environmentalists seeing so-called technological solutions to global warming as undermining attempts to promote greener lifestyles and industries.

<?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = O /><O:P></O:P>But physicist Klaus Lackner, who led the <?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = ST1 /><ST1:PLACE w:st="on"><ST1:COUNTRY-REGION w:st="on">U.S.</ST1:COUNTRY-REGION></ST1:PLACE> team behind the invention, said the CO2 scrubber offered more hope than current efforts to cut carbon emissions by reducing fossil fuel use.

Great! Now we can suck out all the excess CO2 and the plants can all die! and then WE can all die! Hoorah! Earth is saved! It can keep on rollin' around heaven all day without worrying about mankind killing it! What a relief! Finally! Somebody really, truly and actually DID something! Heeeyaaaah!

And we have yet another "solution" to a non-existent "problem".

The idea is bound to be controversial, with environmentalists seeing so-called technological solutions to global warming as undermining attempts to promote greener lifestyles and industries."Environmentalists" ARE the major problem. The elitist muthaforkers are obsessed with power and control. They don't want a technological means of reducing CO2. They want a return to the medieval way of life (with them being excepted, of course, since they are superior to the plebeians).

If we exterminated those vermin, the world would be far better off.

But there's a solution to that too. We can pay for tickets to visit plants in private indoor collections, or maybe support public plant museums with higher taxes.

My suggestion is that CO2 scrubbers can be sold to goreiant environmentalists around the world, so that they can pump C02 from the atmosphere into their own greenhouses. They can live in the greenhouses by constantly wearing special environmental suits with oxygen tanks strapped to their backs. We'll tell them that the earth was destroyed and this is the only way they can survive (and sell oxygen to them). While they're locked into their own little worlds, the rest of us can then enjoy plants and other living things as God intended; as part of nature: and we'll never hear from the gorealites again.

Firstly, I thought those are called "plants".

Secondly, the so-called "war" is a Marxist assault on individual rights and property; global warming is its fraudulent excuse.

... global warming is its fraudulent excuse."Global warming" is out of favor with the elitists (as is "liberal"). The politically correct term is:

With that switch, ALL changes, whether to colder or hotter, to wetter or dryer, to windier or calmer, to cloudier or clearer, can be blamed on man. Those arsewarts leave nothing open to question.

Ya know sumthin'? Up here in the sticks we have this neat agency called the EERC (Energy & Environmental Research Center). They developed a "scrubber" for coal fired power plants (CFPP) YEARS ago. What you see coming out of a "smoke" stack at a CFPP is now 98% WATER.

If this is news, it musta been a SLOOOOOOW day.

You describe the Mitchell Domes in Milwaukee , WI ...

Experience a desert oasis, a tropical jungle and special floral gardens . . .
all in one afternoon!

The incredible diversity of plantlife you will encounter reminds us all of the Earth's unique diversity of plant and animal species so very vital to our own survival.

Come to the deserts of Africa, Madagascar, South America and North America in the Arid Dome where one of the world's finest collections of cacti, succulents, shrubs and arid-land bulbs grow. An Oasis of Pampas Grass and desert palms beckons as paths lead you past many plant oddities with intriguing geometric forms, subtle coloration and unique adaptations to hot, dry habitats.

Stroll the jungle-like trails of the Tropical Dome and see a rich diversity of plants from the rainforests of five continents. Showy flowers, fruits, nuts, spices and a multitude of orchids and bromeliads surround you as you're drawn toward a rushing waterfall in this paradise. Be sure to look for the colorful birds that call the Tropical Dome their home.

Enter a themed floral exhibit filling the Floral Show Dome with gardens of color. Five seasonal displays each year will delight you with their beauty and will serve to inspire your own gardens.

He may have invented something interesting. If uneccessary.

However he has shown that he is a dingbat about AGW.

I'd rather have a technology that allows us to use fossil fuels without destroying the planet, because people are going to use them anyway,' he said.

CO2 emissions can destroy the planet?

They took all the trees
Put em in a tree museum
And they charged the people
A dollar and a half just to see em
Dont it always seem to go
That you dont know what youve got
Till its gone
They paved paradise

So what are you saying - I'm NOT an elitist?
