I spoke to a newly arrived Marine yesterday.

What he told me is how angry he is and how angry the military is serving in Iraq. They are angry because of the refusal of the reporters to tell the truth about what's going on over there. It's much better than what we hear. The boots on the ground military won't even speak to reporters any more because what they really say won't see print. Only totally made up quotes will be used. Why bother even talking to them. This marine told me that he was handing out boxes of food. He gave one to a woman and some guy took it away from her. The marine took the box back from the man and gave it back to the woman. A photographer photographed him taking the box of food back from the man assaulting the woman and the picture was reported as "Marine wrestles food away from an Iraqi citizen."

The military serving in Iraq have no respect for, nor trust in the media at all. We are being lied to over and over again.

I've spoken with many Marines coming back from Iraq. The same thing. They want all reporters out of their way. They describe them as nothing but liars.

And they are ticked off that people are showing them they believe all the lies by supporting Obama. Giving them Obama as a commander in chief when they have done such an amazing job will be a real kick in the teeth.

Maybe in that case, the military will supply the solution.

The solution is going to be Iraq emerging a true, functioning democracy in that shithole of a Middle East. Their success will attract reasonable Muslims from all over, a brain drain into Iraq, which will flower while the rectum-licking Izzie countries founder and slip and slide over all the blood and brains they beat out of their citizens.

Iraq is the proof of the pudding. It will vindicate our men in uniform. It will vindicate W. Bush in history.
