My grandmother who is now 94 yrs. young told me the best story of how she dealt with a telemarketer. I laugh to this day. I also told this story to a local radio station morning show and the DJ's laughed histerically! (sp), on the air no less! Anyway....
She was called by a phone company and asked if she wanted to switch her phone service to save money. She said no but the caller persisted.
"Ma'am, don't you want to save money?" he asked.
"No I don't," she replied, "I'm 94 yrs old. Do you really think I can take all my money with me when I die?"
He hung up!
FYI- her mind is all there and is a wonderful woman to talk too! I love her dearly!

Yes, she is kool. Its because of her that I made it through tech school. I owe my career to her!

Your grandma sounds a lot like my grandpa...he died last Christmas, but he had the same kind of attitude!!

Sorry for your loss. If your grandpa was indeed like my grandmother, he sounds like someone I'd love to have known. When my gram passes on, it will hurt and she will be missed. My condolences.

Thanks...I appreciate that. He was 99...died the day before his 100th birthday. So he actually lived exactly 100 years (the b-day being the first day of the following year of life'n'all).
I was able to get to the nursing home regularly to visit. His eyesight was failing and since he LOVED reading God's word, I read to him at least once a week for the last year and a half of his life. Found out a couple months after he passed on that the other residents (for a couple doors down on both sides of his room) could hear me reading to him and really liked the fact that my voice carried so well. LOL
However, that means that they got to hear me piss & moan about the city and federal government on a regular basis to!!!
I bet they had the same gripes Timberwolf!!
