AP - 12 minutes ago DES MOINES, Iowa - A tornado struck a western Iowa Boy Scout camp Wednesday, killing at least four people and injuring 40, an Iowa Homeland Security spokeswoman said.



Lord be with those families. I can't imagine the worry. Many may not even know if theirs is safe. :(

This is a bad one. My brother is at an Iowa scout camp right now, it took some searching to find out it wasn't that one after the first news report only said Iowa.

I just hope they can get the 20 or so trapped people that still need to be rescued.

My son leaves this weekend with his troop for summer camp under the auspices of the Sam Houston Council. You can bet I'll be praying for Scouters everywhere as they trek out to the wilderness. May God be with them all.

The news is heartbreaking, and yet in spite of the dire circumstances, there are reports of fellow Scouters taking control of matters and performing rescue and first-aid efforts.

They just showed the pictures on Fox news of the young men that were killed. :sad: Handsome little guys, and someone's little buddy. Makes me want to hold mine extra tight.
