God, Republicans are saps. They think that they’re running against some academic liberal who wouldn’t wear flag pins on his lapel, whose wife isn’t proud of America and who went to some liberationist church where the pastor damned his own country. They think they’re running against some naïve university-town dreamer, the second coming of Adlai Stevenson.

But as recent weeks have made clear, Barack Obama is the most split-personality politician in the country today. On the one hand, there is Dr. Barack, the high-minded, Niebuhr-quoting speechifier who spent this past winter thrilling the Scarlett Johansson set and feeling the fierce urgency of now. But then on the other side, there’s Fast Eddie Obama, the promise-breaking, tough-minded Chicago pol who’d throw you under the truck for votes.

This guy is the whole Chicago package: an idealistic, lakefront liberal fronting a sharp-elbowed machine operator. He’s the only politician of our lifetime who is underestimated because he’s too intelligent. He speaks so calmly and polysyllabically that people fail to appreciate the Machiavellian ambition inside.

All true, which is why Juan McCain will get creamed unless Conservative 527's bail him out. I don't see that happening.

Absolute rope-a-dope, Ali taking Frazier's shit right up until the 10th round, then closing in.

Obama reminds me of those two mexicans in '91 who, when pulled over by a cop, worked in tandem and kept saying 'no habla ingles' as they inched closer and closer. Pretty soon, they were a foot away from him and had wrestled his gun out of his holster.

Obama is clever. He knows that the electorate, more than any other time in America's short history, is stunningly senseless like a meat cow that just got its head squashed in by a sledgehammer, its eyes pilled in up inside its skull.

Obama is the perfect blonde bimbo, like Anna Nicole flicking her hair in front of rich geezers, doing whatever she has to do to steal an inheritance. Obama would blow Ron Jeremy, the hairy sweaty beast that he is, if he had to in order to get what he wanted and he would do it with a smile, even if it meant swallowing the pudding.

Obama is ambition, pure and simple, a legion of Chicago's same old shit run through a campaign modeled after college town rhetoric.

God, Republicans are saps.

No shit. :sulk:

The media and the activists won’t care ...

Exactly.

This is the most important part of the article, IMHO. Never mind what HUSSEIN does or fails to do, depending on the case. The drive-by media and the Birkenstock-clad activist DO NO CARE. They will vote for him in droves.

Good article. I wish Republicans would read it.

But they won't.

Yep. I hate to say it, but sometimes republicans are a blind as lefties.
