Barack Obama (http://www.nbc6.net/topic/Barack+Obama) will address the U.S. Conference of Mayors as he stumps in Florida (http://www.nbc6.net/topic/Florida) this weekend, but his visit is not without controversy. The Democratic presidential candidate holds a double-digit lead over Republican rival Sen. John McCain (http://www.nbc6.net/topic/John+McCain), according to a new Newsweek poll. But a recent poll of Florida voters showed Obama with just a slight lead over McCain.Obama has some foes in South Florida's large Cuban-American community. And some of those detractors plan to protest Saturday outside the Intercontinental Hotel as Obama speaks to the mayors' conference.

He seems to have a lot of bad connections.

None of which seem to hurt him for too long.

(shrug) Thanks to his Damage Control Dream Team (which includes the drive-by media), HUSSEIN has survived the Hitler-like rantings of his pastor and mentor, his own blathers about bitter people who stick to their guns and religion, his Missus' stellar speech about not being proud of America, his association with terrorists and criminals. He's come out of all that pretty much unscathed.

And since McCain is too - what's a socially aceptable word that would not get me banned? - bi-partisan-minded to go after HUSSEIN on all those issues, our Obamination stands a good chance of surviving the Elian Debacle, too.

... according to a new Newsweek poll ...Has anyoine else had it up to here with 96,243,104,666 polls per second taken by the news media and being passed off as news? The depth of incompetent journalism is exposed by news media making their own news rather than reporting the news.

The only farking poll that matters will be on November 4th. Then we will find out whether the people of America really are that stupid.

A lot of :sheeple: supported Janet "Waco" Reno's actions in getting Elian reunited with his father in Castro's socialist paradise.

None of which seem to hurt him for too long.Of course! He's a democrat! Just imagine what the media would do to a Republican with connections like that.

He's a commie. The rest is all connected to that. That's as bad as he can get, in my book.

They would impeach him before he even got elected.
