Employee shoots robbers

Two men tried to rob an Old Hickory Sonic restaurant, but an assistant manager pulled out a gun and fired shots, causing the suspects to flee. Police believe that one or both of the suspects was wounded.

Metro police Capt. Michele Donegan said that at approximately 10:30 p.m. Thursday, two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, went inside the Sonic at 1410 Robinson Road, in Old Hickory. Several employees were at the restaurant, and numerous customers were at the tables outside and at the drive-ups. The armed suspect showed the gun. The assistant manager then pulled out a gun and fired several shots, Donegan said. The two men fled out the door without firing. Police are still looking for them.

I believe y'all are misreading his comment. To me, it seems as if he is saying "The crime rate will go down" because the criminal who left the blood trail is not long for this world. Hence, when he dies, one less criminal... lower crime rate, etc...

Why would that be heartwarming? Have you been through the drive through of a fast food restaurant lately?

IF you actually manage to get what you ordered, you have to put up with slow, ignorant teenagers who can not SPEAK "English" let alone understand it. You have to deal with the acne riddled little 17 year old white boy who addresses you in Ghetto-Rapper slang, and the burger that is prepared NOT the way you ordered it, but they way the ignorant asshole felt like throwing it together is smashed and mangled. Then they hand you a watered down 98 ounce Dr. Pepper when you asked for a medium Coke, demand a different amount in payment than the price they quoted over the speaker in the clowns mouth, and give you back the wrong amount of change.

Are you seriously suggesting "customers" should NOT throw the crap right back in their face?

Visit Gaffney SC once. You'll experience that every time you go to one.

But what can you expect when the high school curriculum include a literature class where students are told to WATCH THE MOVIE "Moby Dick", starring Patrick Stewart, and give an ORAL report on it.

They are unable to require the HIGH SCHOOL students to READ in a Lit Class, but instead, have them watch the movie version of the book, so they can have a shot at passing.

And when they graduate, they begin their career of asking "Would you like fries with that?"

I'm quite familiar with dumbasses behind the counter. And, yes, I'm seriously suggesting that civilized people NOT throw their order back at the employees. I was raised to do better.

Myself, this is the first I have heard of this "activity", and on that I agree with you. The little assholes doing this should have their asses beat.
