National Forest Service officials, surrounded and attacked yesterday in Wyoming with sticks and stones by 400 members of the Rainbow Family, were given reason to regret their decision to cancel a long-planned national service project by the Boy Scouts of America in favor of the unorganized annual gathering of hippies, anarchists and "free spirits" who commune with nature and each other.

According to a statement released by the Forest Service's Incident Command Team in Rock Springs, Wyo., officers patrolling the main meadow of the seven-day event held near Sandy Springs made contact with a man who fled and was later apprehended. A second Rainbow attendee was detained for interfering in the arrest.

As 10 officers began to leave the area with their suspects, they were surrounded by an estimated 400 members of the Rainbow Family. A request for additional officers was made.400 members of Rainbow Family surround, attack federal officers (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=68868)

So much for Peace and Love and flowers in the hair. The subhuman freaks are just another bunch of liberals. Kill the lot of them, say I.

Why would you do that to poor, harmless bears?

I thought the Boy Scouts left of their own accord once they heard about the Rainbow freaks?

The problem is that the "Rainbow" freakazoids are wannabe anarchists. They have no organization or hierarchy. They decide amongst themselves where they want to hold each year's love-in, and then they go there. Hiow can one coordinate activities with such a group of loons?

From the second link:

The Rainbow Family has chosen that same general area for its annual national Rainbow Gathering of Living Light, a counterculture celebration of peace, love and a gentle existence.Translation: drugs, sex and vileness. And one wonders about the "gentle existence" of scumbags who do this.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) About 400 members of the Rainbow Family threw rocks and sticks at ten federal officers on Thursday night as they tried to arrest one member of the group at its annual gathering in western Wyoming, the U.S. Forest Service reported. The agency said five members of the group were arrested and one officer was injured slightly.

About 7,000 members of the Rainbow Family are camping this year on Forest Service land near Big Piney, in Sublette County. The group camps at a different place on federal lands each year around the Fourth of July holiday.

Rita Vollmer, spokeswoman for the U.S. Forest Service, issued a statement Friday morning saying that 10 Forest Service officers were patrolling the main meadow of the Rainbow Family's camping area on Thursday night. She said the officers apprehended one person described as being uncooperative.

''Officers began to leave the gathering site with the subject and were circled by more Rainbow participants that began to physically interfere,'' Vollmer stated. ''Another participant was detained for physical interference.''

Townsend said state officers have issued some misdemeanor citations to members of the Rainbow Family charging them with possession of marijuana. He said two people were arrested this week on felony drug charges for allegedly possessing 96 hits of LSD.Five arrested in Rainbow Family clash with feds (http://cbs4denver.com/coloradowire/22.0.html?type=local&state=WY&category=n&filename=WY--RainbowArrests.xml)

The BSA's unwillingness to be anywhere those hippie-retread assholes is understandable.

Weeeellll now....lusseee here.

They are anarchists? Then get ANARCHISTIC on their pasty, disease ridden, bereft-of-a-clue selves. SHOW them what it means to 'support anarchy'. They're only 'anarchists' because they've never been taken to task by the inherent wanton violence inherent in the form of 'governance' they support.

They want anarchy? I say, "Give it to 'em!!"
