An armed-robbery suspect was shot by his potential victim Tuesday, the second time in a week where the tables were quickly turned, police said.

Just after 3 p.m. Tuesday, a 16-year-old was shot in his upper right leg as he attempted to rob a man at gunpoint in the backyard of a 25th Street home, police spokesman Harold Eley said. ...

Maurice Edward Simpson, a 19-year-old from Newport News, ... was shot last week at an apartment complex on Cunningham Drive in Hampton, after attempting to rob a man. He was later pronounced dead at Hampton's Sentara CarePlex hospital.

And of course the little candy asses will not reveal the thug's name, because he is under "age", and they don't want to load him with such a stigma as being identified as an asshole, and the public will not know for whom to watch in some future robbery.

Oh yeah. I can hear the weenies going, "what future robberies?"

My favorite quote out of the whole story:
"It is extremely dangerous for juveniles, or anyone else, to take part in armed robberies," Eley said.Participating in armed robbery just isn't as safe as it use to be what with all those bitter folks clinging to their guns and bibles.

With more and more robbers getting hurt on the job, the union is lobbying for more gun control.
