Media Stars Will Accompany Obama Overseas

Senator John McCain’s trip to Iraq last March was a low-key affair: With a small retinue of reporters chasing him abroad, the NBC News anchor Brian Williams reported on Mr. McCain’s visit there from New York, including it in the “in other political news” portion of his newscast.

But when Senator Barack Obama heads for Iraq and other places overseas this summer, Mr. Williams is planning to catch up with him in person, as are the other two network evening news anchors, Charles Gibson of ABC and Katie Couric of CBS, who, like Mr. Williams, are far along in discussions to interview Mr. Obama on successive nights.

The main-stream media have abandoned all pretense of objectivity and journalistic self-respect when it comes to the Obamessiah candidacy. We've all known for decads that they've chosen political sides but, generally they try to hide it a little.....not any more. Around Obama, they're like giddy school girls backstage at a David Cassidy concert....

This is good... Let the Leftist media do this...

Let the various media outlets compete for face time with Obama...

ABC interviewing Obama as he sits nodding knowingly as the Army caommand explain to him how war is conducted...

NBC interviewing Obama as he personally tours war-ravaged areas...

CBS interviewing Obama as he hand a candy bar to an Iraqi child and the child is used as a prop as they teach him how to do a "high five" with hip Mr Obama...

Let them turn this into a circus for all of Middle America to see...

Someone woke up and realized that Obama, who is campaigning to be our president while we are at war, knows virtually nothing about the war... So this is his ticket punching official fact-finding visit - a visit he never cared top make when he was simply Obama, Leftist Senator opposed to anything Bush was doing... Now that he's a few months away from the General election he suddenly thinks its time he "boned up" on his war knowledge...



We joked earlier in another thread about a NASCAR sponsorship being Obama's Dukakis-Tank moment... Well this one isn't a joke - This trip WILL BE his Dukakis-Tank moment...

We can only hope that the Commanders on the ground there will have the wisdom and forethought to actually arrange for a tank-ride photo op for Obama, complete with helmet..............

Now that HUSSEIN is embarassed into finally going there, the drive-by media treat it like breaking news, a first-time-ever.
