Norway Should Apologize for the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize (http://mensnewsdaily.com/2008/07/19/norway-should-apologize-for-the-2007-nobel-peace-prize/)

Last December, the Norwegian Nobel Committee, a group of government appointees, awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and former US Vice President Al Gore, “for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change.”

It was like openly declaring that the Nobel prize for peace had become the Nobel prize for lying.

Look up Norway. Look at what happened to it.

As Norway became more socialist and secular it became more depressed and suicidal as a people. The deaths by suicide peaked in the 90s when anti depressants began being prescribed on a wide scale. More than 90% of Norwegians are on some kind of mood altering drug.

Who know what kind of idiocy they will buy into. They are a society of miserable unhappy drug addicts.

I thought the high suicide rate was because so much of the country is dark nearly all day during the winter.

Norway is the native land of lemmings whose masses periodically push/pull each other off cliffs and into the sea.

Maybe that explains the committee's judgments.

You beat me to it, girl.

Norway is a typical example of what happens when people are completely "taken care of by Nanny Government."

With no incentives, nothing to fight for, they become depressed, bored out of their minds, drunks, suicidal, and drug-dependant.

Don't take my word for it. Read Somerset Maugham's short story The Lotus Eater. A very good allegory.

Good article, Roger.

Lemmings don't jump off cliffs. That's a myth.

Somerset Maugham's one of my favorite authors even if he was an old queen.

I didn't write that they jump. I wrote that the push each other as in when together in a mass they crowd each other off. Sometimes they make it to some island or on the other side of the fjord hoping for better forage, otherwise they drown.

Good article, Roger.

Thanks. Looks like the article caught the attention of some loyalist Norwegians or Al Gore cult members. I got a few low rankings on the article. It got a link at The Economist website. That's a first for me, as far as I know, and probably MND.

I wish lefty lemmings did.

Mine, too. All-time favorite.

And yes, he was an old queen. But at least he had the decency to keep his sexual life private. Like any decent person, straight or not.
