Things are tough in California, and Democrat politicians make it worse.

Beware: What happens in California spreads across the country.

Cities face budget crunches, and bankruptcy threatens. Vallejo already hit the wall. Many school systems are on the verge of state takeover. Businesses close or move out of state because of onerous taxes, regulations and bureaucracy.

[snip]

The attorney general, Jerry Brown (the same Jerry Brown who ran for president, who as California's governor was nicknamed 'Gov. Moonbeam' and who's a declared candidate for governor again, as Schwarzenegger is termed out) is now 'Mr. Environmentalist' with a vengeance.

The town of McCloud, 300 miles north of San Francisco, is experiencing hard times. Its lumber mill is gone, the result of environmentalists anti-logging efforts. McCloud needs businesses for economic survival.

[snip]

He says that in addition to Nestle doing extensive environmental studies on air, water, hazardous materials and traffic, it must consider the global warming impact of producing plastic bottles, electrical use and diesel and greenhouse gas emissions from trucks used in transport.California dreamin' is your nightmare (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?pageId=71380)

And when Califagia goes down the toilet, guess who will be forced to bail its sorry ass out of its self-inflicted disaster? I say fuggem! Let the state coimmit social/economic suicide. No loss.

 You have to wonder how long California will spiral downhill before the voters throw out the demonic rats in a landslide. Unless, of course, the demonic rats find a way to blame everything on the Republicans.

I don't know, Longhorn. It sure appears to me the California people are electing a serious loser in the face of economic trouble. I don't doubt they'll elect another idiot behind this new one when the time comes.

Frankly, I'd like to see California become a "good example of a Bad Example". A perfect case study about what NOT to do.

Who gives a shiite? It's just California.

This is why my dad is a proud refugee from that shithole.

Actually, I don't care what happens to California. We were treated like garbage by the civilians. I was stationed there a couple times when I was in the military. I have no fond memories of the place. In my more enlightened past, I didn't care if their cities disappeared in a nuclear fireball.

I did nothing to earn the civlian's hate and mistreatment. They did plenty to earn mine.

But, I digress. California proves itself pretty stupid as a state. It's another state that thinks it can levy high taxes with no consequences. As I've said before, businessmen such as myself will relocate our businesses out of the state to avoid state taxes and the higher wages it takes to operate there. It's too expensive to live there, and that's reflected in the wage structure.

I'm not looking to starve my employees. It's a lot easier to thrive as a business and hand out bonuses when I don't have to spend twice to three times the money on wages that I'd spend in Texas. The cost of housing in California is also ridiculous. It's 3-4 times the cost of Texas.

Taxifornia may discover far too late that business relocations and "white flight" will undermine if not destroy its tax base. When all the productive, tax-paying companies and people have evaxcuated the stare to avoid its ever-increasing tax burden, and its population is dominated by tax-sucking parasites, then what? When outgo overwhelms income, bankruptcy is inevitable. And bailouts will be useless, since the cause of the problem is not addressed.

I've noticed alot of businesses relocating to the southern mid-west or the Southeast for that reason as are people from the Northeast looking for better jobs with a lower cost-of-living.
