Interesting...I get the feeling we aren't focused just on hair here because the hair is basically all the same. There is a slight color difference but the styles are near clones of each other. Suzie, what is your goal here?

any ways .. for me , I agree ..blonde hair color will catch my eye the least in a place full of people ....

my opinion on hair color and "attitude" work together ...
blonde = fun ,outgoing ... brunette = sexxy ... red =adventurous , exciting ...

hair length , for my liking .anything from brushing the shoulders to mid back .... longer than that might be dangerous on the farm ....
shorter than that looks too "butch" for me ....
I'm sure that makes me a male chauvanist .... liking long , hard to care for hair over the quick wash and dry hair for todays working woetomen ....

Except for the longer haired one (which is the one I like best of all of those), they are all the same basic haircut.

My hair is the color of Kristina's right now because the sun really lightens it up in the summertime, and I have bangs, but it's the length of the last pic, the mad cow one.

These feral creatures also prefer that slightly teased look, with the added measure of possbily some Brell cream after a thorough job of avid blow drying. The effect is stunning. I'm reminded of Elizabeth Taylor after a night of barbituates and a rousing highball chaser of Scotch or maybe just some Captain Morgan's rum and after getting electrocuted by her vibrator in the bathtub. The effect would be like this 80's "boy band" when boy bands were still freebasing coke like grown men, their veins at near snapping levels, welted up to the elbow like dried gristle, like Iggy Pop panting into a microphone, wasting away like an anorexic and yet his hair...perfect.

Personally, I detested the BIG HAIR bands of the 80's, not only because they looked like what most ferrets look for when they have a big shit on their minds, but also, because they had no talent and were the poster boys for "posers". (Looking for atttention, just for attention)

The only refugee from that Epoch is Bon Jovi (with a mullet that was cut by Helen Keller after too many sips of moonshine). I always called the 80's the decade of the "and a one and a two and three" hit wonders.

Musically, the 60's rocked, the 70's sucked, the 80's had n clue what was going on. The 90's offered up some talent, both male and female and the 2000's offers a daily view of Britney-I-Was-speared overused anal.

Well, if it's true that most men like long hair, I'm at a great disadvantage.

You see, I always wore my hair long. But it's baby fine and a pain in the nether regions to keep looking good. High maintenance, don't you know.

When I was single, I used to go to the salon twice a week. I had my particular hairdresser and everything (NO ONE does blow drying as well as she did. NO ONE).

Then I got married and as usual, all that changed. Not having the expertise Esperanza, my hairdresser, had, I had to fend for myself. Not pretty. It took twice as long with half the good results.

So I cut it. http://freeconservatives.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Hubby liked it (still does), I liked it, everybody else liked it.

Now I take care of it myself. No fuss, no muss. I wash it every day in the shower and I'm all set for the day, come what may. Oh, yeah. I cut it myself, too. Very economical. And I don't have to make appointments, defy the weather, or have to go through the torture of stultified conversation. Why do hairdressers think it's their obligation to talk all the time? It wouldn't be half as bad if they didn't actually expect one to answer. That was another reason why I loved Esperanza. She never talked unless talked to.

So anyway. I may not be your regular glamour girl. But at least, I'm not high maintenance anymore, either.

And hubby says he's not a hair dryer widower anymore. So everyone's happy.

In my opinion, shoulder length would be the shortest a woman could have her hair and still look relatively young. Right now, I don't feel that there is any age limit for long hair styles.

To me, the perfect length would be a measurement that starts at the bottom of the chin and is equal to the length of the face. That would be perfect.

I think that longer hair makes you look younger no matter what age or sex you are. I've noticed that wimmin like to cut their hair when they reach their mid-thirties. Sometimes, after they've have a kid. Babies like to grab hair. Shorter seems to be easier to manage when you have the responsibility of caring for a baby.

Well mine touches the top of my shoulders now. I had it to the middle of my back for the longest time. But I have hit the mid 30's now and to keep it looking healthy I think it was a good choice.

Here's another question...

Does it matter to our FC men if the hair looks healthy? The study said that was a factor. Does the health of the hair effect your choice? Meaning if the long hair looks unhealthy, would you prefer seeing it short?

Er, beg to differ, sweetie. I wore long hair through my 40s ... until I realized that, apart from being a bloody pain to maintain, it made me look positively frumpy. I was begining to look like Uncle It.

He said we are all so frightened of people with disabilities and it's sad really, because they're capable of pursuing and achieving so much.

Before my hair was cut, it was WILDLY CURLY when i let it dry naturally. Now that it is shorter it is even more curly, but i straighten and style it. I really should post a pic of it. I love it the way it is now.

I want to get my teeth fixed oh so badly. But i'm TERRIFIED of the dentist. I went to one last summer to have a wisdom tooth removed and ended up in the ER because the idiot butchered my jaw.

I had a LOT of dental work done last year (root canals, crowns, extractions, you name it). I know where you are coming from on that front.

Butchered your jaw taking out a wisdom tooth? Must have been a quack oral surgeon. I remember when I got all of mine taken out, it took all of 10 minutes. (Eight novicaine shots, rip-rip-rip, done).

He just numbed up my mouth and went to town. It was just one tooth he took at then. He yanked so hard that he ripped my gums and jaw and the bleeding wouldn't stop. So I had to be taken to the ER and get dang stitches and all kinds of crap. I looked like I had a baseball in my mouth for about 3 weeks..lol. Sexy huh!
I think I may have found a good dentist to go to. And the best part about that, he is local. he is very compassionate towards his patients. When he is emailed, he personally emails you back. The other dentist I went to was so condescending. They still owe me $200 too. So that pisses me off as well.
This new dentist I speak of is known for his work in dealing with phobic patients. So that's a great sign.

Laugh.I did not have everything done in one appt. Those 8 shots I referred to was only when I got my wisdom teeth pulled back in '89.

All of this other work from last year and this year was spread out over about 15 appts. with three different dentists/oral surgeons. I was their best customer and they were probably paying off their mortgages with all of that work.

Gracie, one thing you might want to look into is Sedation Dentistry. This is especially popular for phobic patients. They just give you a pill and off to sleepy land you go. They can get several appointment's worth of work done in one sitting. Reminds me of when I got those extractions last year. I had never been put under in my life.
